Awful customer service, just another Asian restaurant where you don’t feel welcomed. We came to this place 2 times and the first time it was very quiet and still we felt like we never existed... second time we came was very busy and all the other tables were served and we were totally ignored (we were the only European looking people). So we just stood up and left, after waiting for anyone to take out order for like 15 minutes and other tables that came after us were already getting their drinks and food.

Edited rating as 4 years ago I had noted a less than favourable meal but tonight was much better food wise. Great variety and tastiness of the banchan which I did like last time, but I think the apple and pineapple sweet and sour pork was not only good but a generous sharing portion. The corn pancakes were also significantly large, chunky, and easily enough to share and take home. Wife liked her beef rib soup. The faded photos and old, smokey yellow walls still don't make you feel like you want to hang around, but the food made up...

Cute little homely restaurant with homely food. Ambience is not modern but the food was yummy and good portion size too . And the couple running it is lovely and sweet. If you are near the birkenhead area, pop in and try their food. Don't judge the restaurant based on the interior or the location. Go with an open mind and you will enjoy the food.
