Only been here once. Would absolutely go again, I'm not that woke to throw out a coffee & kai venue because it upset my feelings. Disappointingly, the wedges came out as just wedges. No sour cream, sweet & sour sauce, ham bits, cheese, nothing, just plain old wedges. While that might be okay in some respects, it should probably be detailed on the menu that it's straight wedges with no additives, I would imagine most people would assume there would be some dressing going on in some form, I don't think I've ever been anywhere that doesn't. So I was a bit put off by that when I turned on my fussy switch. Not cheap either, but nowhere is so that is fine & expected if you eat out. But still, very disappointing to say the least on the wedges front. We also had a benedict & a few other plates on the table, most were pretty good. Just not my wedges. Otherwise, bro on the counter was super friendly & that is a great thing, awesome dude. The cold press, has some very nice stuff in there, cheesecake was exceptional. I think it was $8.50 odd for the cheesecake & similar for a cake slice if I remember rightly, other bits others got were not far off that figure, could be wrong. Quite expensive anyway, but one should expect so eating out. Was quite quick & friendly service, so that was great & definitely a thumbs up for the place. I'd go again, & try something else. It's a handy spot to stop in if you are in & around the town centre. I only got a photo of the cheesecake which as mentioned was inhaled very fast by me. I didn't get one of the wedges I ate them too fast before I got new age upset about it. Thank you, especially bro on the counter he was tops & see you again sometime.

Bob’s Cafe is THE PLACE to go in Whangarei for great food, service and ambience. Great staff, always aiming to please, delicious fresh food, and an inspired Ladies Room experience, don’t miss a trip to the loo. Our pilates barre class has met after class in many places in town over the years, but Graham and his crew have “raised the barre” to such warmth, we will never go anywhere else. A truly heartwarming cafe experience, I will never forget, even as it is my time to sail off to foreign shores, and Graham sent me off with a farewell survival kit! They practice what they preach at Bob’s, see their recipe for making Love.

Had the most delicious keto meals here recently. Eating keto hasn’t been easy given very very few restaurants and cafes provide keto in whangarei…but the keto menu here was extensive in comparison and the portion sizes were perfect. Fettuccine was creamy and tasty, full of chicken and bacon. Everything was so good. Have already recommended to others and will definitely be visiting here more often :)

Took kids to lunch and it was 10/10. I had the fish n chips myself and the meal was huge - definitely worth $26! One daughter had butter chicken, which she said was delicious and my other daughter had eggs bene and she also throughly enjoyed her meal. Our family friend had the Rogan Josh curry and said it was delightful. The food has improved since our last lunch date here and the staff were alot friendlier. We will definitely be going again!

** ate our food before I noticed the review request on the table but it all looked and...
