Ordered Chili chicken gravy through Uber Eats.
So I'm aware that chili chicken gravy is made of corn starch.
However the gravy version is a dollar more than dry one . ( Total $21.99)
I know how to make chili chicken but today I decided to order.
Four small pieces of chicken in container full of cornstarch gravy that's all you get . ( And complimentary rice)
So instead of focusing on the rice, and cornstarch, please focus on your portions and quality.
The size of chicken and vegetables was inconsistent. Only gravy was what was good . 22 dollars worth gravy 👏 👏 👏 masterpiece
For 22 bucks you can have a decent meals like kebabs etc with meats and salads and drink and chips , or many other options. 22 dollars is a lot of money and should feed one person especially considering an average looking meal.
On the name of gravy this is scam.
If you were giving a different sized container for $1 extra with cheap cornstarch gravy ( and sauces) it would be a fair deal.
I wonder how much portion is there in dry chili chicken. As I said I know how to make this dish so I can't be fooled.
Maybe you guys think that it is sent via Uber Eats so no one will notice or complain or people won't know what's the actual portion.
Average tasting food with less quantity.
Bad experience.
If I had to honestly set a price for what I received I would say 15 dollars was max and I am being generous in saying...
Read moreOn 1 October 2025, Curry Garden switched owners. This was initially surprising and a bit sad for me, as I knew the previous owners and they put out some really good food. However, I booked for 4 last Saturday night and enjoyed some really good food. We ordered the cheesy garlic naan, medium curries (butter chicken, lamb madras) and onion bhaji. All were great! The spice level was perfect for a medium, which is rare, the meats were tender, the butter chicken was well balanced and the onion bhajis were just like before; perfect straws and delicious. The madras was not as spice-forward as I’d like, could have had a bit more spices and the cheesy garlic naan could have been more cheesy. The mango lassi was nice, a bit spicy for us and could be a bit richer. We will return to try their other dishes, including their platters and special curries. Still a great place to go!
Edit: went back and everything was great and way better! Mix platter for 2: best samosas I’ve ever had, well flavoured and spiced onion bhajis piled high, the meat was tender and salty, which balanced well with the mint and tamarind sauces. Cheesy garlic naan was bursting with cheese! Chicken tikka masala was tender and very tomatoey and rich, which my partner enjoyed. Garden special lamb was great too. Overall, would definitely recommend curry garden and think...
Read moreFood was good but nothing amazing. service was terrible. The waiter looked like he wanted you out of the restaurant before we even started. No smile at all.
We were there on a first table booking and when we were done we were told that seafood is not included and only 1 curry per person allowed which does not say anywhere in the conditions and when asked the gloomy waiter told us that they already told first table and told us to take it with them. He could have told us about the conditions before we started but did not say anything even as we were paying and I only found out about it because I asked for the receipt.
Overall, would not recommend the place because there are many many many more better Indian restaurant.
Update: firstly, my booking was cancelled previously but I rebooked and have prove of it. Secondly, the seafood clause and the 1 curry per person clause was only updated after I spoke to people from first table and I have prove of that as well. I have also showed your staff that the conditions were not stated and his response was to ask me go speak to first table. So I suggest you check on your side before making a statement on a...
