Comfy Spa — Local services in North Island

The absolute worst experience I have ever had in this “spa”. I tried to call prior to the appointment. No one answered. When I arrived I said who I was and that I had booked an appointment and was taken early which o was thrilled about. I had been so looking forward to this treat. The massage person asked if I wanted hard medium or light pressure. I rolled light and she then proceeded to to use the hardest pressure I have ever had to n a massage. I am certain I will be bruised tomorrow morning if not sooner. She was using so much of her strength she was shaking About 30 minutes into the massage part of what was supposed to be a 2.5 hour treat, I heard the front door open and the bell dinged. Another person was here for the exact same treatment. She was furious and rightly so, that they weren’t ready for her and that “someone else (me) had taken her booking. As you might imagine all chances of relaxation left the table. Next thing the massage person came in and asked me if I had an appointment. I advised I did and I advised it was made on line. She got her manager on the phone who talked to the other person and then the massage of pain continued. About 10 minutes went by and the manager arrived and settled the other person to her treatment and then came into my room (laying there fully naked, and proceeded to tell me I had got my appointment wrong or done something incorrectly on the website because they had no appointment for me. This is not comfy nor spa like. I got up asked him to leave the room dressed - paid for my massage despite the fact it should have been free and left. I will NEVER recommend this place nor return. I cannot emphasise enough how great this service is! I booked the Deluxe Head Spa & Full Body Massage. This was my first head spa experience which I booked having seen various videos online. It absolutely did not disappoint. The service started with the 30 minute massage which was very relaxing. My appointment was with Ella and she asked at the beginning what level of pressure I preferred. I asked for deep pressure which is exactly what I got and was ideal for me. The massage was followed by the head spa treatment which started with a facial massage then moved on to the scalp treatment and massage and included neck massage. This was all deep pressure as well. I left feeling totally relaxed, with my hair feeling incredibly soft and my scalp feels so clean and refreshed. Ella then dried my hair and finished with some scented hair oil (or perfume, I'm unsure). Ella did an amazing job and as I said, I can't recommend this treatment highly enough! The only thing I'd warn against, which I should have checked myself beforehand so not the spa's fault, is if you have vivid hair colours this may not be for you. I had purple through my hair, this is colour I've had in for over a year so isn't new and was recently topped up, and coming out of the appointment the colour is almost completely...

Comfy Spa in Wellington might have its charms, but it fell short of my expectations. The ambiance was pleasant enough with its soft lighting and soothing music, but the overall experience left me wanting more. Upon entering, I was greeted with a smile, but the reception area felt a bit cluttered and unorganized. 😊

The massage itself was decent, but not exceptional. The therapist seemed knowledgeable, yet the technique lacked consistency. At times, it felt rushed, and I didn't experience the deep relaxation I was hoping for. The spa could definitely benefit from a more thorough consultation process to better understand individual client needs. 😕

The facilities were another area where Comfy Spa could improve. While the treatment rooms were clean, they lacked the luxurious feel that I’ve enjoyed at other spas. The amenities, such as the showers and changing rooms, were functional but outdated. A little renovation could go a long way in enhancing the overall experience. 🚿
