Awesome hidden gem off Tinakori Road. Tucked away down a wee lane, this cute cafe makes delicious food and hot drinks. Friendly greeting from staff when we arrived - on a busy Saturday, there wasn’t a huge selection left in their cabinet by 12:15pm, but we found some tasty treats nonetheless. The lack of options is obviously a reflection of how yummy the food is! We shared a delicious focaccia loaded with tomato, cheese, olives, potato slices, capers and winter greens - hard to describe how yummy it was! The cookies were delicious too, I had a choc brownie one and my friend had a milk chocolate chip one. Scrumptious hot chocolate with cute and tasty home-made style marshmallows, coffee was apparently great too.
Not a massive cafe, but seemed to be reasonable turnover of tables. On a sunny day, most people were seated outside. I’d imagine this would be nice and sheltered during a typical windy Wellington day, although we struck a rare still morning.
I also got a loaf of sourdough to take home - have only tried the crust so far, which was delicious! Can’t wait to enjoy future slices from the freezer 😋
Thanks team! I’ll certainly be back to try more of your...

The Kouign-Amann was the standout—beautifully crisp with a subtle sesame twist that added a unique edge. The almond croissant and cinnamon roll were also impressive, each one baked to perfection with that ideal flaky, golden finish we pastry lovers dream about.
Their Americano? Smooth, strong, and expertly brewed. It was the perfect companion to all the pastry goodness. To top it all off, the staff were incredibly lovely—warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. That little human touch made the whole experience even better.
Whether you're dropping in for a solo treat or meeting a friend for a slow morning chat, this café nails it on both taste and vibe. Absolutely worth a...
Read moreIt's a small café tucked away down a lane near the Tinakori/Glenmore/Bowen intersection, but clearly known to locals as it was full at 11:45am on a Saturday. The Goods Café and Manufactory has a small but delicious selection of pastries - we had a lemon preserve thingy, a cherry clafoutis, a small vege quiche and seriously good coffee. I am VERY particular about coffee and get tired of receiving flat whites that are too weak and milky. Not so here; beautiful crema, rich and strong - I'll defo be back...
