Wow! Unclean is just the beginning! I don’t EVER write a review while still in my room but this was so extraordinary I felt it was necessary. It is a shame that only now, after checking in are we reading other reviews. Had we actually spent more time researching accommodation we certainly would not be writing this. To be quite succinct - had I had more info I possibly would have chosen the Y! Never have I seen such gross misrepresentation in the publicity/marketing of anywhere. Their weapon of choice is obviously a wide angle lens. Can I just say here, I questioned paying full room rates while our only view was that of scaffolding and planks of wood. Romantic i hear you ask, if you’re into pine and steel then yes - simply stunning. Unfortunately Andrew, our checkin guy did not see my point and kinda brushed me off. His exact comment was you don't book a room for the view! The point here is that the customer is supposed to be right. We are after all what keeps your business afloat. This is not a slight against Quest, we have stayed at other Quest locations with no issue however this was really the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. There is no excuse for charging full price when your entire building is swathed in scaffolding obscuring any real view. We move now to the info we got when booking. Unfortunately we booked through an external site which gave no notification of the (many) stairs our elderly (walker ridden) parents would have to negotiate on the way to their room. Not only are there stairs prior to the lift but more stairs exiting the lift and even more stairs in the actual room. Watch out for the killer step in the bedroom - surprised my parents did not break another hip. I could go on - but really I can not be bothered. I will never part with a single dollar to grace any of their hotels again. I will never recommend anyone stay there except under threat of violence. I can not put enough passion behind this without a stream of expletives, so do yourselves a favor and avoid this as you would the plague. Submitted some photos - the mould on the sink, a decrepit toilet roll dispenser barely hanging onto the wall and, of course, our "million dollar" view.

I stayed here on a Sunday due to its close proximity to the training center where I had an exam on Monday. The room was well-equipped with a kitchenette, awesome coffee machine and a small fridge. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. There was a step inside the room, but the staff kindly pointed this out during check-in (note to self: don’t text while walking in unfamiliar rooms 😂). The bed was a bit firm for my liking, though the linens were fresh and clean. Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning was noticeable, and the fan didn’t effectively cool the room. There was some street noise, but that’s expected in a city center. The location is convenient, with several restaurants within walking distance, and the train station and public transport nearby. I chose to park at the Clifton Car Park after reading other reviews. It was $34 for overnight parking, compared to the hotel’s basement parking at $25. I gladly paid the difference to avoid potential issues, though this car park was quite busy on Monday morning.

Absolutely let down. Rooms are very out dated, car parks are so tight that you will get a ding in your car by someone else's car (it's that tight you have to fold wing mirrors in and struggle to put a leg out the door to get out. We booked a family unit of 4 and got given 2 towels, doors look terrible, toilet it that close to the rail you struggle sitting down comfortably, washing machine drier has been well over used, it doesn't dry at all and also is very smelly, very small tv in the apartment, doors to open onto deck is very dodgy, we were level 13 and it was freaky as you need to put your whole body weight into the door to open it. No air con at all, super hot, 1x fan in the room to try cover all rooms 2x bedroom , hallway, lounge. No sky movies only basic sky Channels, chairs are missing screws so dodgy to sit down, not very clean in side the apartment definitely they need to spend some time on the room cleans even the hallways walking to your room.

We stayed at the quest on the terrace for two nights. My friend and I had a room on the second floor with two seperate beds. The room itself looks tired. The paint around the windows is chipping the carpet had a lot of wear. I turned on the lights and had a light that would continuously flicker and it annoyed us so much we had to keep switching it off. My bed had a duvet that had no cover, was stained and had a rip in it. (Which I photographed) My friend didn’t even have a duvet on her bed.. both of our duvet covers were a top sheet.. and then just a rouge blanket.. Both of our beds did not have a fitted sheet or mattress protecter. There was noticeable staining/marking on the curtains. The shower head was broken and every time you would turn the water to full pressure it would sent the head flying up/off. The hallway and room itself had a real funky smell and the bedside table draw stunk of cigarettes. In which there is a strict no smoking policy so that had me wondering. Our window latch was broken meaning closing the window properly is impossible. The windows are single glazed which in conjunction with the lack of blankets/broken latch it was freezing. To add the complex does not have any central heating. It does have a small heater that can’t retain any heat in the room. The road noise is absolutely terrible. We both had a very restless sleep as we were being woken up every hour by continuous road noises that were so loud they sounded like they were inside our room. Our room servicing arrived at 4pm and asked us “if we needed anything” from the trolley.. but didn’t actually enter the room or have any blankets/duvet covers. Finally, the fact that we didn’t have any dish washing supplies (dish wash liquid/ brush) which meant that we had to leave our dishes and were unable to reuse them.

The good things however is the fact that one of the receptionists is lovely. The complex has free wifi and a sky box. But other than that it was a waste of $161 a night. I will not be returning and I wish I could get...

Stayed at quest on the terrace. This place is used for emergency housing if we had of known this before booking & paying we wouldn't of even bothered especially with the amount of money we paid VERY DISAPPOINTED.

1.Dryer doesn't work

2.Bathroom is so squashed up (tiny)

3.Couldn't sleep due to all the noise outside the window.

4.Bad view

5.Location is OK.

6.No air con (normal fan) that was shet.

7.Rooms were hot.

8.Hallway stinks of curry & fish (Indians living in the apartment next to the room we stayed in)

9.Clean rooms & bedding how ever I come home with bubble looking blisters on my fingers and they are real itchy.

10.Great customer service from the male receptionist.

11.Doesnt have a pool in the building like how it shows in the pics you have to walk up the road to the next quest & when you do the pool is for lane swimming we had to hop out because they had a class going in to do swimming lessons very rude managers or whatever they are in that gym especially the male was stopped by a female in the gym part and asked how we got in & which quest we were staying at when there is only 1 way you can get in that building & that's with the key you get from quest.(she asked more questions but ill leave it at that).

12.Carpark is really tight.

13.paint around the window frames peeling off.

13.Windows hard to open.

14.watch out for the step in the room it's hard to see cause the carpet is dark & there is no sign.

15.Floors very squeeky.

I DONT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE we paid for 3 nights we could have gotten a better stay elsewhere so...
