Let me please preface this one star review by saying the coffee was great, but this terrible customer service experience took away from everything. Walked in, a lady in front of my partner and I was finishing up paying for her coffee order. As our turn came up a Maori gentleman came in and started speaking fluently in the native tongue to the lady at the register. As such she served him first, ignoring us for the moment, and even got his coffee made before the lady who had ordered and paid before any of us had even entered. That lady also seemed confused as to why his coffee came out first. I love New Zealand and the Maori people more than anything. But preferencial treatment and racial profiling will never sit...

If you need a quick getaway escape is often your best bet. With their 2 coffee machines and well versed barrista, they smash out quality coffee in a flash. It is a popular spot so there might be a short wait when there's a rush of customers (Including myself:)).

A small amount of quality cabinet food is on offer (Choc chip cookies, Banana, Loaf and Black Bean Brownies all recommended) .

Stopped in New Plymouth on the way down the west coast of NZ (north) and what a lovely find. Great coffee and delicious cakes certainly made our morning. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and made a nice warm vibe to the coffee shop. One of the young ladies complimented my daughter on here cute nails!

There are only a few tables so there was plenty of space and this added to a peaceful environment. If we lived in the area I suspect we’d be visiting often. Price-wise, I thought it was very reasonable. $39 for 4 x coffees and 2 x cakes. I’d highly...
