French Soul Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

French Soul Café is an absolute gem in Tauranga! It’s a cosy little vegetarian café with such lovely vibes and genuinely kind staff who make you feel right at home. The quality of the food is outstanding — everything tastes so fresh and thoughtfully made. Their gluten-free options are fantastic and don’t feel like a compromise at all — you can really tell how much care goes into each dish.

And then there’s the cheesecake… hands down the best in Tauranga, maybe even in New Zealand! I love it so much that I’ve already decided to order two whole cheesecakes for my birthday. The coffee here is also the best in town — smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced every time.

Highly recommend French Soul Café to anyone who appreciates great food, warm service, and a place that just feels good...

My wife and I popped in for brunch. In today's world, you really need to offer something exceptional to customers to ensure they get good value for money.

We ordered galettes and coffee. The galettes were a new experience for me. We enjoyed them. They are only two of around half a dozen food choices prepared at the point of ordering, so customers should probably think of French Soul as more of a bakery and coffee stop than a full-service cafe.

One of the challenges of a place like this is the lack of amenities. There's nowehere to relieve oneself should the need arise.

The coffee was average. There was plenty of foam but it just didn't hit like thecoffee offered by other cafes.

You'd catch me at French Soul again, but only for the more eclectic food choices in...

BEST little secret in Tauranga... such a delight! What a wonderful cafe - fantastic, friendly staff and great service, delicious crepes and the coffee.... well it was SOOooooo good I had to have another!!! Well Done French Soul Cafe... you guys reignite my hopes for authentic integrity in the hospitality industry again... keep up the great work! What a wonderful experience - if only I lived closer but you are on my 'every-time I am in...
