The best and most authentic Vietnamese food in Wellington! The price is amazingly cheap with some pho pricing as low as $14.50 which is difficult to find these days in many restaurants today. The owner explained she handmade most of the ingredients they put in the dishes as they aim to make it as authentic as possible. The broth of the pho we had was incredibly tasty and full of flavor - and they were both $15.00 and $16.00 only respectively. The ambiance of the restaurant felt very close to home and the owners were just lovely. Highly recommend!

I ordered Duck Pho which is the most recommended dish on the menu. The reality is: it doesn’t taste as good as I expected. The duck meat still has very strong smell, the broth is just ok like 5/10. The noodle was quite hard, texture is more like rice noodles than Pho noodles. Good points is it comes with good size. It’s easy going if you just want to grab a hot bowl in a cold day. However I see there’s many rooms for improvement here.

I came in yesterday on Thursday to have a look at the restaurant around 10:15. The restaurant said it opened at 9am but everything was closed. I came back 20 minutes later and the store had opened an hour and a half later than the opening time.

I went with a couple of my friends and we had sat down on a table that was covered with leftover food. We decided to move tables and the lady wiped it down for us. The ambiance of the restaurant was unwelcoming, no music was being played, no greeting or smiles from her and the floor was still covered with leftover food. She had placed the menus in a stack and left to the back. My friend had to go up and order by the counter only to find out majority of the menu was “out of stock”

As we waited for our food, we could hear the sound of a microwave go off and realised that the food isn’t going to be fresh. We ordered two duck phos that had differentiated colours, one darker than the other and summer rolls which had an after taste of soap. The fried dumplings as expected, were not crunchy and soft. The sriracha sauce on the table was also expired.

Personally wouldn’t...

Got a table where they cleared the dirty dishes but did not wipe the table.

The cashier did not listen to me when taking my order and it turned out she had not gotten it correct. Upon serving, and realizing she had missunderstood she did not try to clearify or refund us, even though we had paid too much. And we had to remind her twice about what they had missed.

The pork skewers looked boring and the taste was at best decent. Spring rolls were OK. Summer rolls did not come with peanut sauce like it said but sweet chili but they tasted nice. Side of rice was bland and dry. Stir fried veges were horrible. I hardly ate half. Bland, floated around in some horrible tasting fluid, did not taste fried but rather boiled.

This is the 3rd Vietnamese restaurant I try in as many days in Wellington but is by far the worst.

I ordered the chicken salad - one of those really yummy ones with sprouts, mint and dressing. What came was cabbage, lettuce and chicken with dressing - no sprouts, no herbs. I went up said something, got told they don’t do salads like the menu says through out the year. I assumed the ingredients were out of season and said they should say something as I would have ordered differently. Ironically they did ask if I was okay with nuts and shallots (both listed ingredients of the salad) when I ordered. Sat down and noticed all the pho came with sprouts. Went back up again, seems they’ll just decide what they want to put in. Paid $16.50 for a salad that probably cost $2 and felt like $2. Should have read the reviews before I went in,...
