My child and I went to The Little Waffle Shop today (Sunday 27th). Its been a while, so he was very excited.
We got there at 12pm, just in time for opening. At 12.23pm the staff member turned up. We waited a while, giving the benefit of the doubt. At 12.37pm, after having put more money in the parking metres, I knocked on the window to ask if we could get some waffles only to be told "I have no batter, and it won't be here for another 2 hours."
Apparently it's too difficult to let people know, despite them waiting right by the windows. And too difficult to put up a sign to let people know. When we drove past at 1pm, still not open, still no sign to advise people.
I'm curious as to why last night when there was no batter, people were told it would be a half hour wait, yet today it's 2 hours? Where's the prep? Surely when waffles are the only thing you sell, having batter is a logical first...

Had headphones in and when we were about to order he doesn’t look at us or anything he just looks down and packs up and says “ IM DONE FOR TONIGHT IM NOT TAKING ANY ORDERS FOR TONIGHT, NEED A BREAK AND NO MORE BATTER.” I swear there was still batter left but he didn’t seem bothered. We were there for 30mins and he never told us that hes running out or anything. Didn’t close till 35 mins and he already closed it because he wanted a break.🙄 There was a long line. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE!! I was outside freezing and he doesn’t even talk to us properly. Read moreThere’s no doubt that the Waffle Shop serves delicious waffles – as always, the taste was amazing and truly satisfying. However, I was quite disappointed with the hygiene standards during my recent visit.
The girl making the waffles was repeatedly touching her face and hair while preparing food, which is concerning. Her hair was left open, and she wasn’t wearing gloves, a mask, or any hair covering. Additionally, her skin appeared to have noticeable acne, and it raised concerns about overall cleanliness.
For a food establishment, hygiene is just as important as taste. I strongly suggest the management ensures that all staff follow proper hygiene protocols, including wearing gloves, masks, and tying or covering their hair while handling food.
I hope to see improvements soon because I genuinely enjoy your waffles and would love to keep...
