Golden Roast — Restaurant in Palmerston North

Good place to eat not to big so is nice, I got a large pork roast, it was very nice and the pork was nice and tender, but the pork could of done with more crackle put in because I love crackle, and it's had lots of vegetables, it come with potatoes, pumpkin, kumara, carrots, peas, and apple sauce and gravy, the large pork roast could feed 2 people, and it only cost $24.90 for large, so I think that good value, and they also have lamb, beef, chicken, corn beef, they also have good prices on heaps of other food items, and very friendly fast service, I would recommend place to anyone who likes nice food and a good roast like you would...

Bought 2 lamb roasts & 1 pork roast. 1 of the lamb meals was missing a kumara, which disappointed my daughter. we couldn't give her ours as we had already eaten ours. No point ringing them for a kumara. Maybe the owners will take note that they make sure that they include everything as per the menu.

My only gripe was that the gravy was a bit salty. All the meats tasted ok. As for value for money, I have to give it a 3-Star. Not sure if I will buy it again at that price & wondering if I will miss out on any of the kumara or...

I went in to have a sandwich, and chose the combo 1 with sandwich, 2 potatoes and a can of drink for $9.90. It was a good price. But I couldn't understand why the foil was on top of the potatoes??? The sandwich was fantastic, the can of drink was great, but only 1 of the 2 potatoes was cooked property. The other one was hard and not soft in the middle of the potato.
