For Bowl’d
Bit gutted as I thought I’d found my new lunch place as the first two bowls I’d ordered were so tasty. I work from home and just had a new born baby so don’t have a lot of time to prepare myself a meal let alone sit down to eat. Found something I can have that is breastfeeding friendly, healthy and tasty. I order the Donburi Bowl almost everyday but stopped because they kept mucking up my bowl. I’d pay for extra veges and twice the pickled ginger wasn’t in my bowl. So the next time I ordered I mentioned it in my order that they forgot my ginger. For that order I mentioned it on, I got my ginger, then today’s order there was no ginger. One of the days the rice was crunchy which ruined the entire meal. And today’s the last day I’ll be ordering from bowl’d which is a shame as each order I would write in the comments no cabbage or onion as I’m allergic. Well today I couldn’t eat my bowl because it had cabbage all through it. This is not okay. Had I eaten the cabbage I could have been out of action for my children, what if I was home alone? Staff need to be more vigilant. So out of all the orders I’ve had, over half there was something missing or wrong. For a new company, sorry but you’ve got a long way to...
Read more"Changing an artificial world one authentic ingredient at a time" as the young girl serving me gets a pack of shredded carrot out of a plastic bag and refills the container. Their ingredients aren't authentic, they're processed. I was gob smacked to see that. I thought they prepped all of their ingredients fresh. I went here last night to get a falafel pita. The pita was dry and cold. It was on the grill for like 10 seconds, not long enough at all. The two falafel were also chucked on the grill (literally) chucked by a different girl. She cut it up with the same utensils she used to chop up and fry the lamb the customer before me ordered. You'd think in 2023 they have procedures in place to stop cross contamination. The pita had hardly any fillings in it and it had a tear in it so when I went to eat it, half of the fillings fell out. You'd think 3 staff members would be enough to provide fast service to 3 customers but apparently not. It took 5-10 minutes of waiting around until they were ready to start my order. I definitely won't be returning. Teach your staff how to be efficient and work properly, providing satisfactory customer service rather than poor. Now I see why they have so many...
Read moreWe love Pita Pit, however this one in Palmerston North Cuba Street was disgusting. I have never seen a toilet in an eatery so bad. Not only was it very dirty and in need of an urgent clean, the toilet seat was half hanging off. It also had sandflies flying around the toilet bowl. I returned to the counter and advised two staff that it needs some attention ASAP, and both staff didn’t even acknowledge me?! Our order was in the process of being made and I noticed more sandflies swarming over the food. I pointed this out to the staff member and she just swotted her hands over them with no comment. Now to the food: They were out of tomato & red onion. The staff member had already made my salad bowl which was not up to Pita Pits standard at all. I actually just wanted to leave at this point and cancel our order, however the staff were so uninterested I chose to leave it. The smashed avo was a frozen half of an avo in one piece, brown & soggy. My daughters pita was equally lacking. We chucked most of our meal. My advice. Give this place a wide...
