We stopped by Matakana for lunch before heading home. The markets weren't running so we had to forage elsewhere and found this place. It is on the main road. We grabbed a few items and walked down near the river to enjoy them. The pizzas were interesting as they were more bready than pizzay. Almost like the focaccia with toppings. They were nicely flavoured and the pepperoni was slightly spicy. The quiches were nice. Soft eggy filling full of spinach and toppings. The bacon one had it baked through the quiche while the salmon one was only at the top. Both were nice with a filo base so it was crispy and flakey. I quite liked their danish and croissant. The lemon croissant was interesting with a lemon and vanilla custardy curd. It was a nice place for food in lieu of the markets.

For a second here I forgot where I was, well away from Auckland. This local spot was tucked away amongst a few other shops and cafes. The line out the door caught my eye for sure, I ventured inside for a coffee. This was honestly me being curious as ever. The cabinet food beaming infront of me, well I broke Keto for the day and treated myself to this very delightful lemon croissant, yes you heard right! This creation is honestly the best thing ever, I need more! Oh I almost forgot about the coffee I went in for, the coffee is really good.

Wow !! I’ve been to many bakeries but Ringawera is the ABSOLUTE BEST!! I love the fact that everything is freshly made every single day! The amount of effort the bakers put in is incredible 🤌🏽😍 my favorite is the Almond Croissant and Chocolate Swiss 🤤 (and of course the sourdough is just great) With that a nice warm Hot Chocolate from the friendly team in the front ☕️ Ringawera never disappoints 👏🏼

I had this experience a month back. I thought it will be helpful as a google review also. I was actually shocked by the service I received from the gentleman behind the counter. I had ordered 3 items , I was distracted as something spilled on my husband’s Tshirt whilst paying , when I took the items I reached for the 3rd. He then said I did not pay for that, my husband explained I ordered 3 items. When the miscommunication was resolved I paid for the additional item. He then threw down the croissant from the glass cabinet level to the level of the counter. He did not apologise or say anything if it was a mistake. Which it wasn’t because he did it with a lot of attitude.

Customer service is off high priority to me, hope this issue was...
