Viet Q Foods @ Tramcar — Restaurant in Rodney

We were heading to Omaha for the weekend and this place was recommended to go to for dinner on the way up.

We tried the crispy noodle chicken salad, lemongrass chilli chicken salad, and a steamed pork bun and pork belly bao. The pork belly bao is definitely the highlight and is 10/10, beautifully tender and the bao has the most delicious sauce on it. We have since been back and just got a whole lot of bao rather than ordering any mains 😅

The lemongrass chilli chicken salad was also a winner, packed with flavour while also being very light and fresh, I would happily order it again. The crispy noodle chicken salad was nice but I would order the lemongrass (or lots of bao buns) over it . Was not so much a fan of the pork steamed bun, nothing wrong with it but the flavors are not as good as other dishes, also it has an egg in the middle too which was surprising

All in all this is a great place for food, good value delicious food and quick service, I will probably stop here for some bao buns every time they are open that I go through...

The first meal I had here was the pho. I’d been craving it because it’s perfect for winter weather. I didn’t realise the food truck doesn’t offer dine-in, and the menu on Google isn’t the actual one. The only dishes available at the tramcar were pho and bánh mì. The portion was generous, but the pho was a bit bland for my taste (as an Asian). Don’t worry though, they provide salt and pepper if you want to add some flavour. Was it good? So so, but if I had other options nearby, I probably wouldn’t go back.

Viet Q catered our family reunion and I couldn't more highly recommend them. The food was delicious, they had vegetarian and gluten free options, and most importantly, both kids and adults loved the food.

We had fresh prawn and tofu spring rolls, pork and tofu bao and individually packaged mains - lemongrass chili chicken, beef, tofu - all with noodles and vegetables.

Viet Q were so easy to deal with, delivered the food on time to Leigh and are reasonably priced.

We had to feed 60 people and everyone was thoroughly impressed. If you need someone to cater an event Viet Q is a fantastic option.
