Absolutely loved our visit to Tramcar Diner at Matakana Village! The beach vibes there are truly relaxing and fun, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The boysenberry ice cream was absolutely delicious—rich, fruity, and refreshing. The fish and chips were generously sized and incredibly tasty, with the fish being notably fresh and perfectly cooked. On a chilly and windy day, the hot chocolate hit the spot and was especially comforting.
The service crew was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They happily recommended dishes and even let us sample various ice cream flavors without any pressure, which we really appreciated. In the end, we enjoyed a lovely meal of ice cream, fish and chips, and hot chocolate. Overall, a fantastic experience with great food and a great...

Read moreCame to have Sunday lunch for the first time and was very impressed by the food and service. It was super busy but staff were friendly and polite and food arrived quickly. We had The Veganator, pesto salad, apple fennel salad, sticky toffee cupcake and Coco Loco. The vegan burger was really juicy and the sauce tangy and spicy. We really loved the cabinet salads. So fresh and the dressing was zesty without being overwhelmingly saucy or salty. Recommend Coco Loco if you don’t like sweet drinks but want something fresh and cool. Right up our alley. Very happy to have stopped here for lunch and would...
