8 Wired Brewing - Barrelworks — Restaurant in Rodney

We love craft beer and food trucks on Sundays. 8 Wired has some really different beers. Lots of sours and I tried a barley wine (beer stored in wine barrels) that was unexpected and actually quite nice. Tasting paddles are the way to HO, as you can try a few different beers. The fit out is like many other breweries - industrial meets 70s lounge decor. Although unlike many other breweries, the furniture appears newly made so you’re less like to drop into a sofa where the springs have gone. The food truck was Amaranto - Italian but all gluten free. Has obviously potential and I’m sure would be awesome when many people here.. however, the three staff behind the bar were totally unenthusiastic, unengaged and couldn’t stop yawning!. Felt like we were putting them out when we approached the bar. They continued their conversation whilst leaning whilst we were at the bar. If the owner reads this review, he/she would be horrified with the lack of staff interaction and care factor. As a business owner, and first time visitor here, I’d feel for the owner. Came on Saturday, had a sample of beers/IPA and snapper wings. Super cool staff. Came back Sunday at 1755 hrs you know to spend more money. Neckbeard fist wag, they wouldn't serve food. Therefore four stars. Sorry guys, your website says 1900 is closing. Boo hiss.
