Rude customer service. Especially the boy who asked for vaccine pass. Yes we ate living in a time of pandemic. But customer service should still be at the fore front of a business. The way businesses asked for vaccine pass can be a little more friendlier and much more professional. You do not need to yell at people for vaccine pass. You dont have a permanent person standing there to check and there is no barricade of sort, so people walked right in after scanning in. Then this boy from behind the counter came running out asking for vaccine pass rudely. So unprofessional and such a put off. Such a shame as this is the only time where people travel locally to help local businesses survive the pandemic but are made to...

The ice cream and hot chocolate were fine, but the customer service was poor and left a bad impression.

We politely asked to taste two flavors (just two, not ten!) and the young woman behind the counter rolled her eyes at us like we were wasting her time. We were not rude, demanding or difficult in any way. In fact, my wife even said thank you when she handed us the ice cream, but no respond.

If offering samples is too much trouble, maybe remove that option altogether. And to the staff member; if interacting with tourists is such a burden, perhaps this isn’t the job for you. Your job requires a minimum level of friendliness or at least basic manners 🤷🏻

If you are European-like woman dressed well with big size diamond ring then you would get best service. Five minutes service for any questions and enquiries even showing you the receipt back from kitchen to make 100% sure your satisfaction on the desserts. If you looked like an Asian just waiting behind, then you have to waited another three minutes while your waving hands, eye contacts and 'exceuse me's would be fully ignored then was told you have to move to ice cream area to make orders even it was not busy 8pm night. The behaviours of two friendly male staff implied you are not buying for your desserts, you are begging it. This was my experience this week in...

The best dessert store in Queenstown in my opinion. Wide selection of desserts, ice cream and drinks. Everything that we ordered: cheese and berries gelato, and Patagonia dark chocolate and macademia gelato, churros with dulce de leche dip, and chocolate volcano with vanilla gelato were excellent! Came back to get their hot chocolate, which was very good too and it was served with a marshmallow. The staff remembered us when we came back. Went to the other Patagonia store as well to try the crepes. Patagonia has consistently served some of the best tasting chocolates and desserts I've tried. I highly recommended this place to eat when you are in Queenstown.

So we visited late on a Saturday for an ice cream treat and got the hazelnut ice cream in a waffle cone. Amazing. Massive portion as well. They do let you try the ice creams before you buy which is very helpful. You can also take your food items and eat them upstairs with a magical view of the lake and the remarkables mountains. This place is fabulous and I will be back to try the chocolates. You can also make your own ice cream bar here by choosing the base lolly and toppings etc - great idea.
