Our group did the full day tour and here’s a list of things we wish we knew before: the drive time from queenstown takes around 5 hours which can cut into the canyon experience because they aim to be back by 6ish unlike other canyoning experiences we have done where you canyon with two guides this one is one guide per 4-5 people. This means if something should happen to you it could be riskier because no one is at the bottom the full day is a rather expensive excursion and the guides tell you to take your time, but beware if you take more than 2 hours to do half of it or if they don’t think you are experienced enough they will make you stop halfway there’s no rappelling in the first half, only one actual rappel at the very end if you get to do the whole thing this was stated as a 4-5 hour canyoning experience but ours was 4 and they made it seem like even that was too long some of the second half can be difficult and there’s no turning back, even if weather conditions are great this is a more rugged, natural experience and one should be able to swim with strong current to do the full day tour to be safe you will get your moneys worth
Other than that I will say the tour guide we had did take half of our group to the end with some convincing, even though the conditions were challenging the day we went, and that was much...

TLDR: great trip, would recommend. Not the newest equipment, but functional and sure warm enough!
Let’s start from the beginning, the service provided by the office was not just great it was perfect! The response time is super fast, they are really kinds and are there to help and give honest advice.
Did a starter/beginner track although I have plenty of experience. Still had a really fun time with the group and the guide. The track takes about 1h 45 mins to complete with a explanation of about 15 mins at the beginning, 15 mins to get into your wetsuit and all the other equipment and at the end a 15min walk back to the beginning.
Our guide (Brig) had an eye out for our safety, entertainment of the group, and an overall good experience.
The only thing I can say of remarks are that the equipment could get an upgrade since it’s a bit used. Like the shoe laces are worn out/ripped on some of the...
Read moreRoss & Tanya were excellent guides for a stellar experience! As amateurs to canyoning (only once before in dry canyons), we felt safe even in challenging circumstances. The surroundings were absolutely stunning, the jumps and slides were exhilarating. The absailing on slippery rock was awkward but still totally fun. Our guides added to the fun with their personality and gregariousness. We welcomed the two hour drive back to Queenstown at the end, as we were all bone tired and had hard- naps. Even the sandwiches and brownies from the cafe were great. One suggestion: For the veggie option, the addition of hummus, avocado and maybe cheese would be welcomed. We will always remember: Ross is “a girl of two dads”, “stay on the path” and one more that is perhaps not appropriate to include in a review lol That said, the mark of great guides is when you have private jokes by the end! Thanks so very...
