米湘 Me & Chef — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

I went to this restaurant to eat many times. However last time was the worst experience and will not come to this place any more. I can understand that the portion of the dish is noticeable smaller than before is due to the high cost of the ingredients. However the service is terrible. Everyone please check your receipt before you pay, they may charge you more. When I found out this, they asked me to wait for 10 minutes to finally refund back. It was weird, this refund cash back was done by the first cashier, however at the beginning she said she didn’t know how...

We ordered the steam blue cod with chopped peppers, sautéed pork slices with egg, and their new lamb dish, which I can’t find the name on their menu online. The blue cod is always our go to dish as it is really delicious. The tofu underneath the fish to me is the heart and soul of the dish, as it has absorbed all the flavours of the soy sauce based concoction. The sautéed pork is also nice but on the oily side. Very good value and taste. Blue cod was $40/50 (cant remember). Considering that blue cod per kilo is $25/kg, really flavoursome and unique to have a whole blue cod. Also had eggplant pork mince and cold slobbery chicken. All very good, also like the random side dishes they had (free). The only let down was the dessert (biscuits fried with taro in the middle).

Would like to come back to order different things but this is definitely a 3+ restaurant as it’s big shared dishes. The menu is v different (small) but they are very good at the few...
