Absolutely disgusting. I had ordered a promo of $8.99 steamed chicken with chili oil. I in fact did NOT get that. I got "displayed" for whoever knows how long what seemed like PIG EARS. It was cold and utterly rubbery. In the picture (I am the friend being mentioned) is the comparison of what was supposed to be served and what I got. The whole experience went like this (from memory): I confirmed and paid for the meal, I was walking away back to the table when the staff called me back and grabbed what seemed like an "appetizer" (left photo) and thought it was for free. I brought it back to the table to my two friends and we all took a bite out of it yet before we even sniffed it, we all thought it looked odd but we thought it was an appetizer. I waited 20, nearly 30 minutes for my food and when my friends got their food, the same staff who assisted me had asked if we were all together (for some reason??) and he kept gazing at me, walked by me every 10 minutes. I then thought it was a good idea to go back to the counter for a follow up. That same staff who assisted me before looked confused as I asked for a follow up. He printed out a receipt and showed me what I purchased (as if I couldn't read). Confirming it with me that I did indeed receive my steamed chicken. We went back to my table and he CONFIDENTLY confirmed it was THAT. I apologized and sat back down. My friends looked at me and said it did not look like chicken. I refused to eat it. After awhile, as his usual visit around me, he gave our table a free bowl of soup. It looked as if he was apologizing because I wasn't eating the food I ordered at all. My friends gave me bits of their food kindly and after awhile of eating, I decided to takeaway the food to show my parents and get a confirmation of what I was eating. We left, I got home and showed the food I was supposed to eat to my parents, instead of asking me what food did I get, they said AND I QUOTE, "Why did you bring home pig ears?". PIG EARS. COLD, RUBBERY, SMELLED LIKE MOLD, PIG EARS. I am devasted. Next day, I felt so off. I kept waking up in the middle of the night and early crack of dawn nauseas and my stomach was in pain. I have gotten food poisoning previously and it was just going through the same symptoms, through the same experience etc.. I would like to get compensation and a full refund as that restaurant made me broke. Disgusting. Till this day (nearly a week later), I still feel somewhat ill. Thank yall for reading. The staff member told me that he did not recognise the website I ordered through, and that I had been scammed. This was untrue, the website was their website, but the orders weren’t being sent to the restaurant. I ordered and paid for the meal in store. I then contacted my bank to cancel my credit card. Firstly, I walk in and the front of house is on her phone, not even acknowledging us. We pick a table ourselves, and make eye contact with the front of house. She fans out the menus at the counter, signalling for us to grab them ourselves. Still not a word from her.
Secondly, my partner and I head to the counter to order, and she bumps me as she runs food to tables. Not once, but twice!
When she was finally ready to take our order, my partner and I finally had enough and left.
