**Popularity and Demographics** This dessert restaurant is particularly popular, especially among young Asian patrons. The place is often bustling with activity and attracts a youthful crowd. **Presentation and Taste** The presentation of the food is impressive, with dishes that look visually appealing. However, the taste does not match the appearance. The pancake, while fluffy, had an off texture and did not melt in the mouth as expected. The sauce and cream were decent but did not elevate the overall experience. The desserts felt more suited to children's tastes rather than appealing to adults. **Ambiance and Space** The space could be utilized better. Improved seating and a more efficient layout could enhance the dining experience. Currently, the setup feels underwhelming and could benefit from better chairs and a more thoughtful use of space. **Service and Staff** The staff were friendly, providing good service despite the high volume of customers. **Pricing** The prices are on the higher end, which might not be justified given the quality and overall experience. **Waiting Time** One of the most significant drawbacks was the long waiting time. My order took around 50 minutes to arrive, which was frustrating and not worth the wait. **Overall Experience** Overall, while the dessert restaurant excels in presentation and has friendly staff, the taste of the food, high prices, inefficient use of space, and long waiting times detract from the experience. It may be more appealing to a younger audience, but it falls short of being a worthwhile treat for adults.

Another Instagram finds Went on a Monday and they open at 2 pm. We arrived a little bit after 2 pm and they were a full house. The queue took ages because they first accomodate the ones who are at a table and they won’t take orders until they finish the first batch. I wish they have more tables. It’s an additional 15-20 minutes wait time after you order to get your food. Patience is a virtue here. They serve souffle pancakes, bingsu, mochi ice cream and matcha drinks. I ordered the matcha red bean pancakes, and my friend ordered the creme brulee with boba. The presentation looks nice, but the flavours were lacking. My matcha felt too overpowering to actually enjoy the taste but the red bean touch made it a bit bearable. My friend said his creme brulee didn’t really taste like it. He was impressed how there’s a crack when you tap the top with a spoon, as a creme brulee should. Now with the souffle pancake, I am not a fan of it. I would rather just have normal pancakes. It’s nothing amazing. It tastes like a pancake that hasn’t been thoroughly cooked lmao. I’ll give it a 6 out of 10… We all came from South Auckland so it was a long drive for us, can’t really say it’s worth the drive. At least we gave it a try. Won’t be coming back though. I won’t stop you from trying it out if you’re near the area. If you’re far, don’t bother.

I recently visited Kori Dessert with my kids, and it was a delightful experience. This place is usually packed, so we decided to arrive early and ordered their fluffy pancake. The pancake was delicious, topped with fresh strawberries that added a perfect touch. If you visit, I highly recommend trying their pat bingsoo or Korean shaved ice dessert. I tried their new special, Yakult shaved ice, served in an adorable Yakult bowl. The ice was incredibly soft and not too sweet. The strawberry cheesecake shaved ice was another highlight, featuring a delicate cheesecake and fresh, large strawberries. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is originally from Indonesia and has 10 years of experience in Auckland's culinary scene. She was a dessert chef at a renowned restaurant in SkyCity, below the Auckland Tower. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Just be prepared to wait during busy times, but it's definitely worth it!

We visited this evening hoping to enjoy a nice dessert, but unfortunately the experience fell far below expectations. The store was completely empty when we arrived, yet we still waited over 20 minutes for our order. We were fully aware that soufflé pancakes take time to prepare, and we patiently waited. The issue was never the wait time—it was the quality of the food.

The texture of the soufflé was dense and unpleasant, lacking the lightness and airiness you’d expect. The matcha flavor had neither aroma nor depth—it was simply bitter in a way that was genuinely off-putting. This wasn’t a matter of personal preference; it was a matter of poor execution.

What’s more disappointing was the response to our feedback. Instead of acknowledging our concerns with professionalism, the owner responded in a defensive tone and dismissed our review as “exaggerated.” Every customer has the right to express their honest opinion—especially when their experience doesn’t align with what’s promised.

We sincerely hope you take constructive criticism as an opportunity to improve, not something to discredit. Looking at other reviews, it seems we’re not the only ones with similar concerns. Perhaps it’s time to reflect and...
