Kika's North Shore — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

This review is not about the food because we left the place without trying it due to the rude behavior of the manager , I booked a table online for 5 poeple at 5.30 pm for my husband's birthday & I requested a table by the windows , when we arrived the manager asked about the booking I told him that we will be 6 instead of 5 , he was immediately dismissive & said sorry we booked the table for 5 only , the phone rang & he totally ignored us & spent more than 5 minutes talking & we are standing by the bar waiting ,when he was finally done ,he said the restaurant is fully booked & we can't change any table we Said ok can you just add a chair to that table so he did , when we went to the table it was by the windows but squeezed in a small area that when I pulled the chair my head was almost hitting the counter seating , we tried to talk to him again if we can get another table as my mother in law will come & she is on a wheelchair & there is not enough space to fit her , again he was so dismissing & refused to listen to anything that we want to say , my son ended up calling moo moo smokehouse & he booked a table for us there , I told the manager that we have to leave as we can't fit , he didn't even care or apologized for not being able to help ! I'm sorry to say that this was the worst customer service any of us has ever encountered & I don't care if your restaurant serves the best food in the world as your attitude has...

This place is perfect for lunch, or a big shared dinner. And luckily they are open for both! The hostess, Thai is super lovely, chatty and friendly, even offering suggestions for other great food places to check out.

Onto the food: always go for the full picanha steak with eggs, beans and rice - medium rare of course. For the Josef special ask them to swap the fries for cassavas. Since I tend to eat one meal a day, having something as perfectly filling and cooked as this really keeps me going.

If you do manage to have room for dessert, the flan is a MUST - just thinking about it is making my mouth water, perfect texture with perfect sweet condensed milk flavour, great for sharing or just to yourself if you have a sweet tooth

For dinner with friends, the big shared platters are incredible and always hit. Any side and any sauce of their wide variety are amazing, but any steak, Brazilian sausage, chicken or lamb will suffice, with the chimmichurri sauce as my personal favourite and go-to.

Overall, this spot always has great atmosphere, funky brazillian music, a lovely bright open feeling with luxurious chairs and ample seating, great for big parties. Made even better for big parties with a fully stocked bar with great selection of wines.

It was our first time dining and it was a TikTok review that made me pick this place. No regrets at all. We had a big group (started off with 20 lol). Best advice given was to place your order online. There is the option to pay by card or cash when placing your order - straight forward. This is ideal for groups as the restaurant will also ask when you want the food served and amazingly it was served on time.

The food was cooked perfectly, tasty sides and sauces too. The servers were super friendly and attentive. We were welcomed as soon as we came in, got the run down on how it will all work and had someone take our drink orders within minutes! Every single person was friendly!! We were also able to do split payment which is hard to come by. The fact that they were short staffed, it definitely didn’t feel that way! You can always tell when a great bunch of people work well - could not tell they were understaffed when we dined.

Dont pass up the opportunity to dine in. Even though it was super busy, it still felt super cosy. Will definitely dine in again - highly recommended. Thank you to the entire team for making our first time dining a memorable...
