This place just never fails to put on a superb dining experience. If I could give them 6/5 I would. I took my family here to celebrate my 50th with a dinner last Wednesday. Homemade garlic and mozzarella bread. Chefs special Gnocci along with handcut fries in duckfat with a truffle sauce. Seasonal vegetables including Brussel Sprouts which were delicious (a big deal as this vegetable needs more than a little “coaxing” to be their best). Atmosphere is relaxed to the point the patrons are all friendly with one another. Waiter service is prompt professional and friendly without being over the top and the thing that amazed me most: upon leaving was farewelled by name- never happened before anywhere which shows they take notice of their booking names. Little details matter. Will we come back again (and again)? Is the...

Fenice Italia Restaurant on Waiheke Island exceeded our expectations in every aspect. We dined there three times over the weekend, and each experience was exceptional. The Pesce Del Giorno and Confit Duck Pappardelle were both incredibly flavorful, showcasing the chef's talent on Friday night. The cakes, carrot, and Black Forest on Saturday afternoon were moist and delicious, they added a candle knowing it was my birthday which was a special touch. Breakfast was equally impressive, with the Curious Cropper Tomatoes and Cashew Cheese stealing the show. Despite being busy, the service remained efficient and friendly. Fenice Italia is undoubtedly a must-visit destination on the island, offering divine flavors and...

Attentive, ambient, and delicious. Calamari entree was a generous helping of fried calamari rings so big that everyone thought they were onion rings. The non-marinara sauce pasta had some great, tender duck and this mushroom based sauce wasn't too bad. I do wish the pane (bread) had a little more something to it to make it unique like pieces or cloves of garlic inside bc else it's just basic ciabatta with olive oil. Decent craft beer selection and of courses there's loads of wine (the bottles are like minimum $52 though so don't expect to get away for less). Seating indoors and half outdoors were both nice; inside feeling a little more apt for romantic...
