So went to this place for brunch, ordered fried eggs with croissant together with other things, felt as tho my meal was abit dry so I asked the waitress for some sauce, after 10mins of waiting I went up to the counter and asked the guy if I could get some sauce and I stood by the side to wait for it, he said oh I’ll get it for you and I said I d just take it and he replied unfortunately he couldn’t give it to me then and had to wait for the waitress. I went back to the my table and decided to eat my breakfast as it was getting cold. As I was taking my last bite, the waiter brought the relish and I said sorry I don’t need it now as I was done with my food, he said well then why did you order it and I said I ordered a while ago when my food came and have been waiting for a while and my food was getting cold. He said you know I’m still charging you for this, I thought this was quite rude and said sorry I’m not paying for it, he seemed ticked off and walked away saying loudly you’re a definition of a Karen. I paid for my food and asked if I could have a word with him as I wanted to explain my side of things to him and straightaway he said no I don’t want to talk to you, you just wasted my time and went on and on with the same thing that I should have cancelled the order for the sauce. Don’t know his name but there was only one male waiter there, dude seriously you don’t say that kind of stuff to customers and especially if they come upto you to talk about it, you just made it all about yourself. The manager did not say a word in this situation, pathetic the most worst customer service I have ever experienced. It’s the experience that people remember and you totally ruined it for me over a little pot of sauce, learn to keep your cool and the bubbly personality if you are dealing with people or find yourself something else to do, you’re definitely not a people’s person and especially if calling customers Karen, where do you even...

So disappointed with this cafe… purchased your overpriced smashed avo and had to modify it because they have no vegan options… asked the waitress to swap my egg and feta for mushrooms and checked with her there would be no extra charge which she agreed. Then when I get to the till they charge me almost 40 dollars for my meal because of the mushrooms ( might I add there was hardly any mushrooms it was mainly onions and I don’t eat onions. I asked for mushrooms not onions and mushrooms) despite me telling them that I spoke to the waitress to check it they tell me it’s too bad as mushrooms are expensive and the waitress is wrong. I said I would have never got this meal if that was the case… proceeds to make me pay for it! ( $15 extra dollars for a couple bites of mushrooms with probably an entire onion) I come back in after I walked out and asked to talk to the manager apologised who said he would train his staff and that the substitute costs $2 to change any menu item. He refunded me $13 for he mushrooms meaning he still charged me $2. Is it not funny how when you remove stuff from a meal they don’t make it any cheaper but if you want to add something as a substitute you...

Was seated at 12pm, waited for 40 minutes, was told by the waiter that our order was somehow “lost” on the way. So we ordered again, told them that we have a ferry to catch at 2pm so would need to have our food within 30 minutes at the latest. Waiter told us they would rush our order. However at 1:10pm we still haven’t got our food, we’ve only managed to receive our two coffees 5 minutes prior. A standard tumbler glass of ice coffee for $7.50. We walked to the counter to tell the FOH that we are leaving because we have to catch a ferry, asked the FOH if we still need to pay for our drinks, he said yes. We said we don’t feel that we should pay for the drinks as they have wasted an hour and 10 minutes of our time, meant that we couldn’t grab a lunch before going on the ferry. The FOH then blamed the waiter tell us that there was a wait time. I asked that the waiter didn’t tell us the wait time was an hour? and he would lose our order 40 minutes after placing the order? And 4 tables that arrived after us got their food AND drinks? We know that mistakes happen and we were fine with ordering our food for the second time but the FOH (perhaps the owner?) response...

I only saw your defensive reply a year later, guess my comment was on the same “speed” as your kitchen. I even checked my chat with my friend from that day: from the moment I said I’d ordered to when I finally got that unbelievably bad yakiudon, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes. I remember asking the staff because it was taking forever. He checked the ticket, went to the kitchen, and after a while the dish showed up. So yeah, you probably forgot my order, and your ticket record isn’t right. I’m not the only one who’s left a bad review, but sure go ahead and rudely argue back to each of us. In times like this, I hope bad businesses get replaced by good ones. hopefully faster than you serve food. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– I'm sitting in the restaurant writing this review. my overall experience was disappointing. The customer service was just average, and despite the picturesque setting, I had to wait over an hour for my food. Unfortunately, the long wait was not worth it, as the dish taste is really bad and expensive. Not a place I’d recommend for a memorable meal.

The food was overpriced, and the service from the waitress was terrible. We placed our order at 10:40 am, and after we finished, the waitress rudely grabbed the menu from my hands. To make matters worse, when I paid the bill, I wasn't offered a receipt and noticed they had charged me $8 over my total. When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was informed there was a 15% surcharge for the day. However, upon researching online, I discovered that it's illegal to impose surcharges on Easter Saturday since it's not a public holiday. I returned to the restaurant, informed the waitress about the illegality of the surcharge, and requested a refund, which she reluctantly provided. It was disheartening to witness numerous tourists being overcharged before us, highlighting the lack of trustworthiness among the staff. Think thrice before considering dining there, or else you might find yourself reluctantly returning to rectify unwarranted charges.

I came here during the holidays. I went there mainly for the view but the food was a huge disappointment. For starters the prices were unreasonable for the amount of food given. For example 2 small pancakes for $16.50. The service was not up to standard and the waiters sounded like they had no idea of what was even on the menu. it wasn’t clear what was available and what wasn’t. we had to keep reordering when they said the food we asked for wasn’t available. The worst part was when we ordered the curry it had a large sized hair in it. after taking ages to come out and it was cold by the time it got here. I paid $28 for a cold curry with hair in it. And when a compliant was made the waiter walked away for a long time and came back with another when i just wanted a refund. terrible service, terrible food but great view.
