We had a lovely lunch at this new, busy little cafe. The food was very healthy with clean and fresh flavours. We enjoyed a very pretty and delicious zucchini salad and an avocado sandwich. The bread was just superb, very light and freshly baked on the premises. We enjoyed the fact we could have a simple, reasonably priced light lunch. It is a very sheltered and sunny spot although it does miss out on the sea views. Coffee to finish was very smooth with a flavour that left no bitter after taste. Absolutely love coming here! The Courtyard has a chill, friendly atmosphere and is where all the locals eat. I always have the hardest time picking from the menu as the specials are always so interesting and delicious-sounding but are up against some pretty stiff competition from the classic dishes available. Staff are very laid-back and warm, the place is completely unpretentious even though the food is good enough for it not to be! Food was decent but overly priced for the incredibly small portions, as were the drinks. Would not recommend if you are someone who has food sensitivity/aversions as all the food was rather “niche”. Also don’t come here if you’re allergic/fearful of dogs - there was a dog walking around the entire time, going up to patrons, sitting in the kitchen entrance, and barking both inside and outside of the restaurant - with an open plan kitchen setting it’s rather unsanitary.
