Gave in to the trend and finally visited Benedict’s.
My husband and I loooooove breakfasts! We would rather have breakfast dates over dinner dates so we got a little excited for this one today. Checked the reviews and what people were ordering. I was torn between the Octopus and trying the famous thick bacon slices. Given that I dont always get octopus for breakfast I thought maybe i’ll try this one next time.
So we went and ordered - Bacon Eggs Benedict. My husband ordered an additional avo which was $7 for a half avocado. Oh! and I love croissant so tried the Pistachio Croissant. I had long black and hubby got a large flat white. The ambience was good. We came at around 9am and it was peaceful, quite and there were a lot of empty tables. The parking was not too bad we were lucky to find a parking just in front of the cafe. There is also a public parking few steps away.
Everything was perfect. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The lady who set our table was very polite and always smiling. Food and coffee were remarkable.
The only thing that was a bit short for me were the eggs. They were hard boiled/well-done (if thats the right term for it) and not runny. It was the same for both my husband and I (all 4 eggs). I love my poached eggs runny and for a girl who loves her breakfast it broke my heart a little bit. But im not super picky just did not expect it and hey! Its just my preference so not the cafe’s fault.
The croissant was to.die.for!
Overall, I was happy with my experience and would love to try different dish next time.
Addendum: We went for a second time. I must let you know that the eggs were perfect and still highly recommended! My new fave place! The bread...

Got here quite early as I expected they would be rather busy in the late morning and I was right by the time we were leaving at about 10.30 the place was filling up fast. My partner and I ordered the halloumi chips, maple and walnut tea, the mushrooms with a side of thick cut bacon, and the Earl grey granola. Everything was really delicious, surprisingly so, it’s been a while since I’ve been to pleasantly surprised by a cafe when I have had high expectations. The prices were a bit more than your local cafe, but unlike I can say about a lot of places, the flavour and the quality of the ingredients really reflected this. I ordered the Earl Grey Granola but requested the house made labneh and honey instead of the coconut yogurt. It was absolutely delicious and quite filling. Fresh raspberries, freeze dried strawberries and a blackberry compote combined with the tangy labneh was very delicious. At Benedict’s you really get the sense that each ingredient has been heavily thought through. The halloumi chips were absolutely fantastic. The crumb was so tasty in contrast with the soft cheese. The labneh and honey side was a great choice too.
I don’t often order coffee at cafes much anymore but I’ll definitely be ordering it from Benedict’s again. The barista was great talking about the different coffee they had available and let me try some of the filter too which was great.
Thanks...
Read moreService was ok, asked for table of 2, waitress replied take a seat anywhere, we then asked should we grab a menu to which she responded i will bring you a couple of menus. We then sat at a table and patiently waited. Partner was on a lunch break so we only had an hour to eat, the waitress then walked past our table more then 4 or 5 times, locked eye contact with us but still did not bring us our menus even after waiting for 10 minutes, instead was serving other people and clearing tables which is fine, but that fact she walked past us multiple times when she could of definitely had an opportunity to present us with menus or to even tell us that there may potentially be a long wait for service or food. Neither was told to us. I then proceeded to walk downstairs to the counter to provide how this made my partner and i felt. To which she replied with i can serve you now but in this circumstance, she only said that because we got up and said something. It felt like an empty apology. I did not swear at them or yell and this review is to only reflect the poor service i felt my partner and i were subjected too. The vibe the waitress and the whole place gave me was that of being shoned like...
