Average food hygiene on show. Ended up paying $45 for 1 mushroom, 1/8 zucchini, a slice of onion and 2 prawns after watching the meat be cooked.

The same spatula that slid raw chicken on the grill was used to flip, toss after slicing, and serve the meat onto our plates. The spatula had a wipe-down (through the most disgusting cloth I've EVER seen) halfway through, which tbh probably made it worse and added earlier raw chicken juices to the spatula. Couldn't eat it after watching that.

To be fair, I'm pregnant and it was my choice not to eat the salad or rice, and maybe I would have cared less about the gross spatula if it was just me I was eating for.

1 star for the helpful staff, 1 star for the atmosphere and experience, 1 star for the flavour of what I was...

First Teppan-yaki experience ever! Entertaining and it doesn't look like a lot of food but we were stuffed. If you haven't tried Teppan-yaki yet I'd recommend giving it a whirl. I'd recommend this experience with a large group - much more fun particularly when you have to try to catch the fried egg with your mouth. I suck at it and it's possible for the chef to skip you if you want!

Went here recently again for a birthday dinner and lunch the week after with a colleague. The lunch menu is reasonable but not really something you could have on a daily basis. Dessert is also included by the way so not a bad deal. It gets quite hot however because of the grill plates but it's all part of...

Appalled ..we have been going to Quay St for over 35 Yrs ...Over the last 2yrs we keep making excuses for them ...like oh it's just a bad night for them or we have a training Chef ..it will be better next time.. Well no more ..16th Nov 2017...Last time ever..They have cheapened the quality of the food ..Serving size shrunk .. yum yum prawns and Lobster absolutely shocking and no flavour The female Chef never once smiled or conversed ...We tried everything to make HER night pleasant .. She kept giving people the wrong food ..😳 I have to end this now as I could go on forever ...as it still upsets me ...There was 6 of us $700 bill ...no one will...

We came here for lunch on a Saturday and the overall meal was very good. The portions were larger than expected and the service was perfect. The cook we had was inexperienced but she still was able to perform her job well. The chicken was slightly over cooked, which is always better than under cooked. The atmosphere was nice but some areas of the dining room could use a bit of deep cleaning in some areas. This isn't saying that it's dirty, just little items like replacing fan and light switch covers would go a long way. Overall this was great value for a nice lunch.

Less crowded than once was in the pre-covid world, but this means we got a knives skills show for 2 that was just as good as any. Had a personable chef and griddle master with years of experience, and they nicely catered to our needs of having to cook things a little bit longer given my wife is pregnant. All in all, nicely presented from front to back and courteous. Had made reservations online too.
