Seriously good experience here. We were staying in Auckland Harbour Suites, arrived late, rental car issues, etc., etc......Just wanted something to go swimmingly, and this place was it. Literally 2 minutes walk from our room, we found this fantastic little place and gorged on their delights. We ordered simply, as the menu dictates - the basic beef noodle soup (A1 on the perfectly-sized menu) and an order of pork dumplings (A8), washed down with beer. During our minimal wait (and during our rather longer period of consumption) we watched 'King of the Noodles' in the kitchen making the noodles, starting with a blob of dough and progressively pulling, spinning, repeat, until they were the desired thickness. Honestly, the skill....entertainment while eating - just amazing. The staff were great. Front of house was perfect - smiles, English, happy to see you, how can we help. In the shadows, the one who knows all (except smiles and English). No matter, without asking, she produced scissors to cut down the meat slices and noodles, so a good team effort. Was it the best bowl of noodle soup I've ever eaten? Look, I've eaten a lot of such soup bowls: happy, sad, hungry, ravenous, cold and sweating and these were up there. Further, the dumplings were divine - we had pork (fried not steamed) and the spring onion and ginger made them simply delicious. This place is understated; it should sell itself more. Their tables should be full, the noodle king should need an assistant. Make it happen people! Eat noodle soup here!

Adequate first time experience here when they first opened. Menu isn't extensive but enough to suit everyone. Taste wise falls rather on the bland side but the store has the usual condiments for you to add to your liking. The amount of chili oil that the noodles come with did look frightening at first but it's not hot as it looks, rather a nice and crispy mixture of fragrant Chinese herbs and spices. We also opted for the 3 small side dishes deal and also a serving of xiao long bao. I can't exactly be sure but I think the xiao long bao was supposed to be six but we only received 5. Although seating is a bit cramped but space is sufficient. Environment is very clean and atmosphere is cozy. Food comes out fast and though the place was packed full of people but servers were still polite and attentive and ensured everyone was well seated. table turn rate is fast.

I probably should have ordered noodles here, but I wanted to eat dumplings($16)and grilled lamb(7.99) so that’s what I ordered. Order and Pay first. Water and utensils are self service. They were out of pork dumpling and the only choice was shrimp, so I ordered the shrimp(actually thinking an upgrade $17.99) The grilled lamb came out first and it was not bad. The shrimp dumpling came out I was very disappointed starting from the way they looked. They looked like the frozen dumplings you get in the Chinese markets for few dollars. I am 100% sure they are not hand made in the store. And it sure tasted like the cheap frozen dumplings. Expensive and biggest disappointment of the day. I will not be returning here.

I brought my flatmate here for Friday dinner last night but slammed by the total rudeness and impolite attitude of the this sassy girl at the front of the house. She is rude and unmannerly impertinent. Ive asked her for a table for two and she hisses to me like a cat. I was astounded by the act of this girl and I never experience such a kind of behaviour in Auckland/New Zealand. To girl that has a “VIOLET” coloured hair of the front desk of this place, GIRL you need remember that you are in the hospitality business, it is NOT okay to rude and impolite. After all the industry is struggling at the moment due to this pandemic and wont need that kind of attitude of yours! Your service sucks big time and the noodles that we had tasted bitter like you. Ofcourse after what happened we didnt enjoyed the food. 2 potential regular customer gone. Stop hissing to customers girl,...
