Room 104 — Local services in Waitematā

I went there today and asked for a quiff model which is basically short sides and long top, I showed plenty of pictures to the barber and described what I was after. She was asking me about the clipper numbers for the sides... she is the professional and supposed to tell me what the number should be from the pictures. The sides ended up having huge visible ridges of different lengths on what was meant to be a smooth fade. She has not even cleaned my forehead and sidelines as I had to clean it myself after I got out. She did not bother to thin out the tips and tidy up the top to form the shown hairstyle. So the top is now uneven as she basically didn't touch it. I paid 55$ for this haircut and when I came home I noticed that the back neck hair was not lined... I am just simply so...

Beautiful little spot located in the Achilles House building. Took me a while to find it, but glad I did. Offered a beer on arrival, sat down with Luke and chatted about what I wanted. I have long thick hair so was dubious as to whether they'd be able to thin it and cut to shape without taking too much off. Quite disappointed on the customer service side. The cut took 20 minutes including a quick wash and I was overcharged (I found out after I left that the price for wash and cut is $55, as stated on the website, but I was charged $60). Cut was ok but it feels like a rip off and quite a dishonest treatment for a new customer. Note - I asked the barber for his advice and haven't asked for anything 'unusual' that could have justified the price difference. There are plenty of other places in Auckland where you can get the same quality at that...
