Mojo Quay St — Restaurant in Waitematā

Awful staff! Never again. I was walking back to my car and decided to pop in for a quick bite. I stood by wait to be seated sign for awhile. None of the staff members even acknowledged that I was there. Heads down no smiles. Then after ten minutes one girl walked into the cold case area and I said that I waited and asked to be seated. She barely looked at me and started serving guys that came after me. When they said to her hey this girl been waiting and she came before us she said let her wait and continued serving them. They looked at me awkwardly and said: we’ve tried. Then finally the manager got me seated and I got a lukewarm coffee with the hardest grilled sandwich that had sliced cucumbers that got cooked while being heated. Tables all look worn out and cheap. Salt shakers are non existent they just put salt in its original plastic container. Terrible experience. I’ve complained to the manager but looking at the staff I don’t think anyone been ever trained there as they all looked as temps. Pretty average experience. Weirdly wouldn’t do some eggs on a rosti instead of bread as the rosti only came with an eggs Benedict so I had to buy that as I can’t have bread. When my meal came out, the server just took the number and I had to chase her down saying we had my partners meal coming as well. She said what is it and then oh I’ll add that, no sorry or anything that she forgot to put that through when we ordered and paid. When the mince on toast did come out, it was actually pulled beef of some sort and not mince so that was intriguing. And here is the kicker, we were nice enough to go up and pay for the meal that was missed of our order and got told to go join and stand in the massive cue. What...

Good Coffee, great breakfast, lovely staff and beautiful outlook. It is in the lobby area of an office block but don't let that discouraged you this is a lovely place to grab some food and go, or sit and eat breakfast or lunch. They have a great range of small snacks/cakes and even pre prepared sandwiches or salads. I had the Eggs Benedict with bacon which came on a harsh brown (old school shredded potatoes) which was amazing and loved the kale ,nice touch. We also had the scrambled eggs on toast which was nicely done and prefect lighter option. The coffee was awesome and would 100% return even for a take away coffee.
