Make sure you're sitting down, because I'm about to describe an unusual experience. Walk in - great decor, giant menu, lots of space - seems like a nice chill Sunday. Aparrently I forgot I was in central Auckland. A waitress is stretched between cleaning tables, the kitchen, and serving at the counter. She finally arrives to take my order only to say that, with many condolences, any food we order will take over 30 minutes to arrive.
Here's where the story gets interesting. I just wanted to order a frappé. Does a frappé count as food? My girlfriend goes to order a chai latte and is told that they don't have any cups; as I glance to the massive and mostly empty corridor of tables within the establishment, I can't help but wonder what the hell is going on inside that kitchen. A miscommunication - does a frappé count as food? The waitress won't tell me if a frappé counts as food, and I order one anyway.
My existential crisis was answered by the sub-ten-minute arrival of the 'beverage'. Tasted like bliss but I was disappointed at the lack of cream. I'm stoked I paid $6.50 so I could write...
Read moreI’ve been a member of [Coffee Club Wyndham Street Auckland City] for a few months now, and I can honestly say it’s been a game-changer for my mornings. The variety of beans they offer is impressive — from smooth and mellow to bold and rich, there’s something new to enjoy with every delivery.
What I love most is the freshness. You can really taste the difference compared to store-bought coffee. Every bag arrives sealed tight and full of flavor, and the aroma when I open it? Absolutely amazing.
The subscription is super flexible, too. I can skip a month or change my preferences whenever I want, and their customer service has always been helpful and quick to respond.
If you’re a coffee lover looking to explore new flavors without the hassle, I definitely recommend giving this club a try. It’s made my daily cup feel like a small, cozy ritual I...
Read moreOrdered $100 worth of food. Been to plenty of other Coffee Clubs and never been disappointed in quality of food or portion sizes. This was bad from the moment we walked in. Bad service, took almost ten minutes for them to understand the order. Order came out missing half of what I ordered. Took three times asking to end up with what I supposedly paid for. Avocado was hard and rotten and was literally a teaspoons worth for $7. Sausages were cold and hard, one piece of bread for $17, spinach wasn't cooked at all, salmon was portions listed far too small, hashbrowns burnt, and then we got told the chef was filling in and didn't know what he was doing. Absolute shambles and waste of time and money. Did give me half my money back but to be honest it was so bad I should have been paid to eat it. And I'm not fussy. Terrible...
