Me and my wife, along with some of our wonderful church family shared in an amazing time and experience at Revive Cafe yesterday, where the food was amazing and well laid out before us. The price of the food was actually really good for how much you get. The staff were really on point, and I was super impressed how the staff managed large crowds of people, including, remembering many order details and who multiple orders belonged to etc. Even though there were many in que, the staff were quick, patient, very friendly and amazingly welcoming. Revive Cafe also sell a range of product like cereals, spreads etc, and we decided to purchase some peanut butter because I was starting to get seriously sick of the peanut butter range on offer at supermarkets, and usually wouldn't spend this amount on a spread but now I am completely convince we just made a right purchase because this peanut butter was so fresh and tasted like it was made right there and then, and didn't taste like the peanut butters we had grown custom to from supermarkets, where they always had this lacking of flavor as well as an unusual flavor and after a while, would have a kind of wet dog smell which was rather off putting, so the moral of that peanut butter scenario is, its better to pay a bit more for quality, if you can, than to buy something that has a lot of strange additions that ruin the flavor. I 1000% suggest trying Revive Cafe if you haven't yet, because there is nothing like eating food in a great friendly place, that the food is actually healthy for you. Thank you Revive Cafe team, we look forward to dining with use again very...

It's my first trip to NZ and we had a couple of days in Aukland before heading out. The first day, pretty jet lagged we wandered out for some food and, being vegetarian and dairy free, this isn't always easy for me. A quick Google showed that we were a couple of doors up from Revive (lucky me!) so we gave it a go. The staff were super friendly and helped me get to grips with what they had to offer through my tired haze. With a jet lagged appetite I kept it small. They appear to have a hot special which changes daily and then a number of salads to choose from. I had the smallest portion size, two salads and a dollop of awesome green pea houmous.

Day 2, hungry, still no idea where to eat in AKL for a dairy free veggie, we went back. My companion had a larger portion of 4 salads and I had the hot special of the day, one salad and more houmous.

While I was there, I saw the staff check fridge temperatures and trade old dishes for new.

They don't do hot drinks and they shut up at 4pm (in the week, not sure about weekends).

Highly recommend, as you can also buy one of their numerous cookbooks and wholefoods in store.

Thank you...

. (11/2018) This vegan and vegetarian restaurant is well located over Wyndham St and can be easily spotted on the roadside from a moving vehicle in normal traffic. Convenient location and easily accessible. Well maintained and managed. Comfortable and well organised seating. Excellent ambiance and cosy atmosphere. Service is amiable and well-timed. Helpful and friendly staff. Plentiful food options are available for vegans and vegetarians which are listed over the menu including the ingredients used in them. Food is delicious. Table service isn't available. Good for quick catch-ups. Normally busy during lunch hours. Outdoor seating is not available. Reservation cannot be made at this place. Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location. Good place for quick bite. There is no dedicated parking area available although ample paid parking spaces can be found around. PayWave facility is available at...

I love going here for the vibrant, healthy vegan food but the food often repeats on me, not sure if it's a particular herb or spice. That being said I love their nut butters and pantry supplies. And I tried a hazelnut cacao smoothie that sent me to heaven 3 times! Every week the menu changes, so you'll never get bored of what's on offer. A downside is you have to access the cafe via stairs. If you have a pram it is a bit of a pain, if you have a wheelchair you're out of luck - but there is another accessible cafe in the city, you just won't be able to sit in to eat. I'm actually visiting here from the UK and I have to say the cost of food is pretty good for a city centre based cafe. People say NZ is expensive and I can see that in other places around the city/country but this cafe has reasonable prices. Everyone should come here for their excellently prices nut butters. Compared to the supermarkets like countdown they are super cheap!

Pretty good vegan food that just needs a tad bit of balancing. Food: while we totally understand that Revive is very much the cafeteria style of food service, there are some minor improvements that could be made to take this place to the five star level for us. A great example would be a savory pie special (sort of a shepherds pie). The flavors were fantastic and the TVP was generous. However, the TVP absorbed all the moisture and the dish was incredibly dry. A gravy or sauce was much needed to balance the dish's textures in the mouth. Similarly, many of the salads seem to have very similar flavor profiles. As such, if you pick the wrong salads, you may feel like you're eating the same thing over and over. Regardless, it was all good and we would go back for lunch anytime. Service: kind and quick for cafeteria serving. No complaints! Atmosphere: a little basic, but clean and modern!
