Me and my wife, along with some of our wonderful church family shared in an amazing time and experience at Revive Cafe yesterday, where the food was amazing and well laid out before us. The price of the food was actually really good for how much you get. The staff were really on point, and I was super impressed how the staff managed large crowds of people, including, remembering many order details and who multiple orders belonged to etc. Even though there were many in que, the staff were quick, patient, very friendly and amazingly welcoming. Revive Cafe also sell a range of product like cereals, spreads etc, and we decided to purchase some peanut butter because I was starting to get seriously sick of the peanut butter range on offer at supermarkets, and usually wouldn't spend this amount on a spread but now I am completely convince we just made a right purchase because this peanut butter was so fresh and tasted like it was made right there and then, and didn't taste like the peanut butters we had grown custom to from supermarkets, where they always had this lacking of flavor as well as an unusual flavor and after a while, would have a kind of wet dog smell which was rather off putting, so the moral of that peanut butter scenario is, its better to pay a bit more for quality, if you can, than to buy something that has a lot of strange additions that ruin the flavor. I 1000% suggest trying Revive Cafe if you haven't yet, because there is nothing like eating food in a great friendly place, that the food is actually healthy for you. Thank you Revive Cafe team, we look forward to dining with use again very...
Read moreIt's my first trip to NZ and we had a couple of days in Aukland before heading out. The first day, pretty jet lagged we wandered out for some food and, being vegetarian and dairy free, this isn't always easy for me. A quick Google showed that we were a couple of doors up from Revive (lucky me!) so we gave it a go. The staff were super friendly and helped me get to grips with what they had to offer through my tired haze. With a jet lagged appetite I kept it small. They appear to have a hot special which changes daily and then a number of salads to choose from. I had the smallest portion size, two salads and a dollop of awesome green pea houmous.
Day 2, hungry, still no idea where to eat in AKL for a dairy free veggie, we went back. My companion had a larger portion of 4 salads and I had the hot special of the day, one salad and more houmous.
While I was there, I saw the staff check fridge temperatures and trade old dishes for new.
They don't do hot drinks and they shut up at 4pm (in the week, not sure about weekends).
Highly recommend, as you can also buy one of their numerous cookbooks and wholefoods in store.
Thank you...
