RED Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Lagos State

Went there yesterday evening, first waiter sat us to a table & we asked for menu. Now another little fat waiter wearing red came & told us he’s moving us to another table, even though restaurant was empty on a Sunday evening. And then first waiter stopped him from moving us. Now that 2nd waiter was continuously staring at us & standing there while we were checking menu, i was feeling uncomfortable so i thought let me order something fast first so he can go & we can take our time to check the menu. so we ordered a soup, dimsum, noodles & chicken with vegetables .

Now he said weirdly that’s all???😳you have not ordered anything. His meant was, he can’t take order with this 4items.

What??? what does he mean by that? Pls if u are planning to go to this place make up your mind to order soup to appetizer to main course to desert at once otherwise they will insult u the same way we got insulted. This kind of unprofessional & untrained staff in a kind of restaurant inside eko hotel. Worst customer!

Definitely never going back there again. Owner should definitely do something about their...

RED was a sweet experience for me and my hubby on our wedding anniversary. Get this, they were very covid compliant and we were taken care of by the waiter in a magnificent way. The ambience, that's a 5 star because every angle is a master shot. If you want to take you and bae to a serene restaurant for a proposal, anniversary, exclusive birthday, this is it! This is the place. The food was good too. The staff were very courteous, businesses need to recognise that conscientious staffs play pivotal roles in the overall experience of every customer. More importantly, this restaurant has super reasonable prices, no inflated prices here, that was the cherry on the cake! The pictures I took were so nice that many people have decided to come here after I shared my experience on social media....

I come here quite frequently. At least twice a month. They have the best views and their prices are pretty reasonable with big portions as well.

However, knowing that I'm a regular customer, imagine my shock when I was turned away on a Sunday evening because I showed up a couple of minutes past 10 pm. I actually got there before 10 pm but needed to wash up first, and I told the hostess this before going to wash my hands. There was this server, an older man, he was very adamant that I needed to leave. It's all good. My anger stems from the fact that this was a Sunday. Hate negative energy on a Sunday.

To the management of this place, this economy is too bad to turn away a regular paying customer. Advise your staff...
