Amazonas Restaurant VI — Restaurant in Lagos State

It was a pleasure. I had a great quiet time with my partner and the view was beautiful.

We made an online reservation and upfront payment. Finding the place was a bit difficult because the sign post was not very visible (look for Posh Hotels just before Heritage bank).

The wait period between arrival and the starter meal was long. I didn’t like that. But I guess they compensated with the view.

It was just my partner and I, so I think that made the experience sweeter for me. We didn’t get the do karaoke because “the playroom key holder was unavailable”, that was not cool.

Anyway, for a romantic setting for partners, I would recommend. Hopefully, you get to enjoy it as a lone couple. I’m not sure about if other couples are there, especially for the shy ones like me 🤭

I’d also recommend that they play sweet background music for guests, that would have added a star...

What can I say about this experience? Well, I will be nice 🙂

Let's start with the nice stuff...

They have a rooftop space that's cool. The atmosphere is good enough for you to get some good pictures and relax. They've also got an enclosed space that's also cool in case you don't want to be in the open space.

Now to the not so nice stuff..

The service was very slow. We waited for over an hour before we were attended to.

For the food, the pepper soup I ordered was the worst I've ever had.. the protein was not properly cooked as my friends and I struggled to eat the 3 pieces of meat that were in each of our plates. I couldn't order for any other thing after this because it would be a complete waste of money. They have a lot of stuff in their menu but almost everything on it is not available.

The manager can do better to improve the services...

I won’t recommend this place to even my worst enemy. I took my wife for a romantic valentine evening yesterday and I got the shock of my life. I was kept waiting for over an hour to prepare just a table for us. Meanwhile I paid ahead of time so they had my name on their manifest to show they were expecting me, it wasn’t until I started shouting that they finally gave me a table and then they served me something entirely different from the menu I chose and paid for. Food was tasteless, I couldn’t even touch it, I left the money for them there and left to take my wife to somewhere better. I would never ever visit here anymore. The cup that was brought for drinking water was so dirty, I just cannot deal. Whoever owns the place needs to check them staff because they just don’t know what they are doing.
