I recently visited Amigos restaurant in Skopje, Macedonia and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service from the staff.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and tasteful decor. The menu offered a variety of dishes, ranging from traditional Macedonian cuisine to international dishes, all of which were presented beautifully.
I opted for a Macedonian dish called "tavche gravche," which is a delicious mix of beans, vegetables, and spices. It was cooked to perfection and had a lovely combination of flavors. My dining companions also enjoyed their meals, including a tasty pizza and a flavorful salad.
One thing that really stood out to me was the attention to detail in the presentation of the food. Each dish was beautifully arranged on the plate, making for an even more enjoyable dining experience.
The service was top-notch, with our waiter always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. He was also happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had about the menu.
Overall, I highly recommend Amigos restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic, making for an unforgettable...
Read moreAmigos Mexican Cantina is the best Mexican restaurant in Skopje, Macedonia.
Nearly three months in Macedonia truly enjoying the traditional food, it was time to mix it up and we stumbled across this little gem.
As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by the friendly staff and were quick to order a Margarita and Mojito to quench our thirst from the soaring 40-degree weather in the city.
Once we had settled, we then started on the menu, and each dish was amazing, we pushed our boundaries and ordered dishes we were yet to experience.
The food was fresh and delicious, our first arrival was Corn Fritters, and they received a huge tick of approval.
Followed by Roll de Pollo, a crispy chicken tortilla roll served with a cream cheese dip.
The Chimichanga was next, spicy grilled beef tortillas filled with rice, cheese, jalapenos, frijoles, and they were a treat.
Flautas, more crispy tortillas filled with feta cheese and grilled chicken, served with pico de gallo were the finishing touches, we were then adequately satisfied (and more).
The restaurant is very cozy and modern, with a great terrace as you enter, and ample indoor seating, followed by a private courtyard.
Definitely recommend Amigos Mexican in Skopje to balance your dining...
Read moreAmigos in the Center is a small place with limited space, but unfortunately, that’s one of the few things going for it. We ordered the Nachos Enchiladas—beef and chicken—but they tasted nothing like authentic Mexican food. Both were severely lacking in flavor and definitely overpriced for what we got, rating about 1.5 out of 5 each. The chocolate frita was also disappointing; it looked nothing like the photo in their advertisement and was extremely hard and overly sugary. The churros didn’t impress either.
The service was another low point. We waited 50 minutes for the nachos, and when my girlfriend politely asked the waitress about the delay, she responded with a rude, irritating attitude, saying “I will tell you now where it is” in a very unpleasant tone. Despite the small size of the restaurant, when we tried to order a second round of drinks, no one was available to take our order, and we ended up waiting about 15 minutes just to pay.
Throughout the meal, the waitress was consistently unprofessional, slamming food down on the table and being generally disrespectful. Given the price and quality, the experience was more than disappointing—especially having to wait so long and deal with...
