Star Ocean Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Centar

So i got 3 dishes via delivery. Beef noodle soup, shredded pork noodles and pork dumplings. The pork dumpling were great but the two other dishes both 0 out of 5 stars… Bland, tasteless, terrible…

Tried the beef noodle soup hoping for something close to the traditional richness you’d expect from a proper Chinese bowl deep beefy broth, hand-pulled noodles, braised meat, the works.

What I got was a bland, watered-down version that had no soul. The broth tasted like it came from a bouillon cube, the noodles were overcooked and lifeless, and the beef if you can call it that was chewy and flavorless. No star anise, no ginger, no chili oil. Nothing that makes the real thing stand out. ALSO THE MEAT WAS SOUR.

If you’ve ever had actual Chinese beef noodle soup, you’ll be disappointed. This was more like someone googled the name and guessed the recipe.

Not worth the price.

I tried first talking to them to get them to explain what is going on, and the restaurant manager was very rude and didn’t even want to comp the beef noodle soup with spoiled meat.

They told me that i didn’t know what i was talking about… They said the food is great. btw in the delivery app, they DIDNT INCLUDE PICTURES FROM the said dishes.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Star Ocean Chinese Restaurant in Skopje, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service.

The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated, with an elegant and cozy atmosphere. The menu offers a wide range of Chinese dishes, from traditional favorites to unique and innovative creations. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice.

What impressed me the most, however, was the quality of the ingredients. It was evident that the chef had used only the freshest and highest quality ingredients in preparing the dishes, and this was reflected in the taste.

The service was also top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who were more than willing to offer recommendations and ensure that my dining experience was an enjoyable one.

Overall, I would highly recommend Star Ocean Chinese Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Chinese dining experience in Skopje. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded my expectations and I look forward to returning...

This restaurant just gets progressively worse. First off the food came in cold and the meals arrived one after the other with at least 10 minutes between each, while a few of them were forgotten. The deep fried meat is 90% batter and occasionally you'll find a chunk of meat (great for vegetarians), the noodles are instant noodles, the chilli oil came without any oil, only chilli flakes (good luck dipping your food in it), and the sweet and sour sauce is just watered down Heinz ketchup. The only thing that tasted good were the fried dumplings with meat, which I only liked because they tasted like burek with meat. The prices are lofty, ones you would expect to see at an upscale restaurant, while offering none of the services and food of such a restaurant. I definitely wouldn't recommend this...
