Thursday 26 august, me and several other friends visited Tordenskjolds gate 5, which now houses Casa Pisano. It's been converted into a small sweet Italian backyard with several rooms spread over several floors. It was an opening events packed with people, but well organised. On the first floor, we really got an intravenous dose of Italian atmosphere. At the top of the roof terrace, we could sit under the open sky or find ourself a deep hanging chair outdoors, but under the roof suspension. Good food and drink was served on all floors. The pizza oven on the ground floor served deliciously tasty thin-crust pizzas - my favourite style of pizza.
A few days later I borught with me a good friend who has been traveling in and out of Italy for over a decade, a self-proclaimed pizza specialist. Not sure if Cash Pisano could continue to live up to the first impression so we tested out a quick "walk in". There, any doubts I had were thoroughly put to shame. Casa Pisano delivered two wonderfully good pizzas - one with mozarello and strong serano, while the other with scampi and chilli. It tasted absolutely excellent. Great service on the ground floor. We combined beer and red-wine to the pizza - my friend a bottle of Boretti, myself a glass of Italy's...
Read moreI tried this Italian restaurant as it was near the hotel. The service was friendly and good but I was serviced by 4 different people during my short meal which was interesting. The atmosphere was really fun. They have recreated an Italian alley complete with hanging clothes and a Vespa. Most importantly, the food was great. I always tend to try the Diavola pizza and it was great here. The positives were fresh ingredients, toppings that were evenly spread, freshly made, and a good crust. The only small downside was that the crust in some places was extremely thin. I would have preferred just slightly thicker so it didn't get soggy from the sauce as quick. The price was on point for any Italian pizza place in Oslo. Considering all the factors, it was well priced. There is plenty of seating and it is family friendly. I can...
Read moreFrom the second you enter the restaurant you are transferred to a whole different country. Welcome to Italy 🇮🇹 Amazing atmosphere with aesthetics reminding you of the country, combined with italian music. We ordered a standard margarita pizza and it was amazing. Simply the best I have tried so far in Norway, and possibly one of the best ever - very close to traditional pizza from Italy.
If there is a point of improvement, I would point at the time we had to wait before we got seated, as even though the restaurant was very little busy at the time we had to wait for a significant time. However, when we finally got seated the staff was very friendly and attentive.
Anyhow, would definitely return and...
