I visited this bar a few days ago with some of my female Norwegian friends. On arrival one of the “security” staff threw his arm out aggressively at her to “search her bag”, hitting her hard in the uterus. At the time I was in shock and didn’t know how to respond to that!
Later, as we were leaving, she went to talk to the staff about how unacceptable that was, and as a foreigner myself I was hesitant to speak up. However after her and another one of our friends not getting through to them for almost 10 minutes as they calmly and politely tried to talk to them, I decidedly to step in also.
I was nothing but polite and firm in my stance, not remotely aggressive, but it took no less than 60 seconds for this same to throw me 3 meters backwards out of nowhere, severely damaging my back which now requires medical attention.
The “security” who works there refused to show me his name tag and ID for me to follow this up with the police which is illegal.
The other two “security” staff just acted like nothing happened, but I’ve taken their IDs for reporting.
This behaviour is disgusting and the venue should be ashamed to have such insidious staff because the inside of the venue and...
Read moreI came all the way from London to see my friends from Germany play here last night and was surprised that the security is acting exactly like people say it is. After my friends set we were upstairs having a chat with others and at one point one of the security guys takes my friend dj aside and walks with him to the door saying it looks like your to drunk, wich he was not at all LOL, we had like 3 beers during his set. They clearly not know how to spot if people are drunk or not. The management should really sort out this security problem about falsely accusing people they are drunk. Its giving the place a bad reputation already because of this and in that night i seen 3 cases pulling people aside and then walking them to the outside door. The experience here would be much more worse if they would kick out a dj, even...
Read moreI've seen a lot of negative comments here about the bouncer and was curious about what my experience would be. When I arrived, it was relatively early (around 10:30) and there wasn't a line. The bouncer wasn't rude but also wasn't necessarily smiley or friendly, it was fine.
Though one thing that was a bit iffy was that even though normally it was a ticketed event (~150 NOK, and 100 NOK for the "early bird" price online), when I got there they didn't ask for a ticket (presumably because it was quite empty anyways?), which was obviously good for me but wouldn't be as good if I had already bought tickets online.
The DJ, the people and the bartenders were quite fun and friendly, though I thought the drink prices were quite expensive (110 NOK for a glass...
