An amazing food experience created by the Korean owners and their team! The food was all delicious and the service was absolutely top notch. The dishes were a very interesting combination of Korean classics paired with high quality ingredients from other countries. Some of the dishes featured Iberico ham, Wagyu beef, and local Norwegian salmon and vegetables. The kimchi and other pickled vegetables and sauces were all entirely homemade by the chefs. The service was so good that they literally folded your napkin for you at your table when you went to the toilet! The staff were extremely attentive, and even moved my husband’s chopstick rest to the left side when they noticed he was a leftie. This is a level of professional dining service I haven’t experienced living in Norway many years! The waiters explained each dish carefully and recommended how to enjoy it best with the sauces and other sides. They have a nice selection of Korean drinks including the peach soju we had which paired wonderfully with the BBQ. Go to this restaurant, it is an unforgettable experience that is absolutely...
Read moreI had many friends who recommended me this place, by even telling me that it was their favorite restaurant in Oslo. So I had high expectations. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s the best experience I had in town, but I also believe that maybe it was just an unlucky night. The food was a mix of very good dishes (the appetizer was superb!) and some were a bit tasteless or missing of salt. The kimchi and spicy dishes were maybe a little bit too spicy for a standard palate. The ice cream had a weird consistency, and I was expecting a more “Korean” dessert. But the wine pairing is very interesting, original and spot on on most of the dishes. We booked a table at 5pm and everything seemed a bit too rushed since the next service was going to be at 8pm. So I suggest to reserve at 8pm instead to have a more relaxing dinner. Overall the “Autumn 2022” menu was a bit disappointing but I still had a good experience. Maybe I will come back and try the next menus since my friends are still telling me to give it an...
Read moreThe dishes were uneven. The last 3 dishes were their weaknesses. The burger - mung bean patty - didnt taste much, the duck bulgogi style was a little bit too salty and the sidedishes were not good. They gave us some lettuce and fresh kimchi kinda like - dont know the name - but it lack of taste. It kinda destroyed the good flavour of the duck when you wrapped this into a roll. And the last dish was cheese cake with som korean ingrediens. For me it tasted almost like a regular cheesecake. Kinda disappointed that the chef didnt come up with some more typical koraen dessert. Even though the cheese cake was good! But I have to say that their first 3 dishes were superb! Nothing to complain there and so was the service. Super fast and nice ppl working there. At last, I have to add that the kimchi was not good. Too much of gochugaru - seemed like there is nothing more than the chili pepper flakes there, so it made the kimchi very dry. Maybe they should copy the recipe from Maangchi from...
