YOYO DUMPLINGS & NOODLES BISLETT — Restaurant in Oslo

Was here a few days ago and got takeaway. Incredibly friendly staff, especially Cao. We were welcomed with open arms and a big smile. They were quite quick as well, food was basically ready within one cigarette outside.

The pork dumplings were super fresh and flavorful, perfect consistency, juicy and all around great. We were very surprised by how incredible they were, and all to a reasonable price for a starter. The dumplings are eeeeeasily a 5/5⭐️ The broth however was wayyy too salty.. this was a bit sad as it tasted like a classic wonton soup broth (which i looove) but we unfortunately had to use it as a dipping sauce rather than soup as it was massively over salted. It might have just been a mistake on that day, so I’ll give them a benefit of the doubt and rating 3.6/5⭐️

We had the pork belly noodle soup for main, the boiled egg was NOT soy marinated so we were very disappointed to have plain boiled egg. That being said, it was cooked to perfection. The noodles themselves were very good, a generous amount in the portion, a bit more resistance in the noodles than I expected, which I believe can be judged on peoples individual preference (I quite enjoyed it). The pork was flavorful and juicy, a bit chunky and awkward pieces but nevertheless very good. You could tell it was slow cooked. The broth was like a classic beef broth, nothing special or any exciting authentic flavors, but did the job. Overall 4/5⭐️

I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic ramen, but if you just want a decent noodle soup and incredibly delicious dumplings then definitely go here.

I’m currently writing this as I’ve sent my man out to get us another order from here, I see this place soing well so I’m giving it overall 4/5⭐️ with potential of becoming 5/5!⭐️ Definitely gonna continue...

Very nice find in Oslo! They have amazing noodle soups, perfect for warming up in cold weather. 👌🏼 The owners are very kind, they are helpful and explain the dishes very well. On the tables they have chinese vinegar, soy sauce and chili pepper which you can mix in the small sauce bowls available. This mix is perfect for dumplings, the owner kindly prepared the mix for me and I loved it! I tried dumpling noodle soup, my bf tried the pork belly soup. Both were super tasty, I wish we had more time in the city to go back and try more dumplings :) The soup had 7 of them, and it was one of best soups I have ever tried! The prices are also the most affordable...

The dumplings alone were almost enough to earn a 5/5, as they were so juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, the signature beef with noodles in soup didn’t quite hit the mark for either of us. I found myself needing to add quite a bit to the broth just to bring out some flavor. That said, I had a small taste of the Beijing-style meat sauce noodles and they were much more enjoyable, so it might have just been a case of ordering the wrong dish. As for the price it is very affordable. A solid 4 stars for now, but I definitely see 5-star potential and will probably try it again some time...
