Los Tacos Bjørvika — Restaurant in Oslo

It seems dystopian to have Mexican food your first night in Oslo or even Norway but that’s what I did and I was better for it. I had being flying for over 24 hours to reach Oslo, I spent the day walking tourist spots and almost so tired I didn’t want to over think my restaurant options or have my palate challenged- so Mexican at Los Tacos seemed a good option. I followed the formula that if a spot is frequented and busy with local patrons- go there. The place was moderately patronised not too busy to be claustrophobic or forgotten by any service. No loud foreigners only speaking English, good chatter in Norwegian with people from their 20s to 30s. Ordering via QR code was easy and when my Mexican Pilsner arrived within minutes we were ready to roll. I went with the Steak bowl and a spicy salsa. Again it arrived at a timely fashion, looked good and tasted comfortingly for this weary traveller. I can’t comment on Mexican authenticity- I’m just an ignorant Australian- but it the right places for me. There wasn’t much kick in the salsa but the sinus clearing spice power only appeals to limited percentage of humans; I enjoy the occasional snotty experience in private of course. The beer worked well with the food and the server and chef enjoyed the gesture of thanks. Thank you gentlemen I value...

Placed an order, marked the phone number to receive a notification when “ready to collect”. The staff never followed up on the order, but placed it on a counter unfortunately not on the “keep-warm” area.

Waited up to 30mins thinking it’s a busy day, order was passed to a different customer hand mixing orders I believe, that’s when I considered they don’t follow up on the designed system of customers receiving notification. When checked if that was my order, which in fact it was, making me waste 30minutes for a burrito.

Recommend to follow up if you don’t want to waste time, the staff isn’t up to the technology standards...

Max was the first person we met walking into this taco chain, and he set the tone for a great visit—welcoming, helpful, and clearly passionate about the food. The burritos were excellent: flavorful, well-portioned, and made with fresh ingredients. They also had a surprisingly good beer selection, with a few local options that went perfectly with the meal.

Great service, great food, and great beer—what more can you ask for? Thanks again to Max for making the experience...
