Godt Brød is a commendable choice for those seeking organic bread and coffee in Oslo. This establishment is dedicated to sustainability and offers a range of delicious options that won’t disappoint. It’s conveniently located near the Munch Museum, making it an ideal spot to take a break during your visit. Their commitment to use organic ingredients in their bread and coffee is certainly praiseworthy. The taste and quality of their offerings reflect this dedication. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite and enjoy a cup of coffee while you appreciate the stunning architecture of the surrounding area. What makes Godt Brød even more appealing is its proximity to a playground. This is a boon for families with children, as it allows parents to savor their treats while the little ones have some fun nearby. I had a positive experience at Godt Brød on my way to Munch. If you find yourself in the vicinity of the Munch Museum and craving organic refreshments, Godt Brød is a solid choice for a pit stop.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the bakery and café Godt Brod in Oslo, Norway. This bakery café is part of a chain with several locations across Norway. I tried a typical Norwegian pastry along with a cappuccino – both were well made, though nothing particularly memorable. The main downside was the wait: my cappuccino took almost twelve minutes to arrive, likely due to understaffing, which can be frustrating if you are short on time. On the positive side, the location is excellent – close to the Munch Museum and in a new district under development, with a nice crowd and a pleasant terrace to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

Hands down my favorite bakery ever (such a shame it’s only in Oslo and not any near where I live). I tried several of their pastries and was honestly shocked at how good they were. I went twice on my 3-day trip to Oslo and ordered first the regular bun (simple yet incredible flavor) and the cardamom bun, which was honestly freaking good like the best thing I ate on my trip to Oslo! I went the second day at 6:30am to another of their locations to take with me some buns and cinnamon buns to Spain so my family could try and they all agreed that it was really really good (even after all the long hours of traveling that day). If you’re in Oslo, it’s a MUST!

Not far from my hotel and open early - I am old so I don’t sleep well or much and need coffee to regulate my grouchy self important demeanour - this bakery/cafe gave me the opportunity to degrouchify. (Yeah I made it up) The service was good and with the smell of freshly baked or baking goods is always elevating. The coffee was made in an efficient manner and was above average coffee - I’m Australian and we don’t have a long history or richly evolved culture but we have a superiority complex over coffee and cafes; not saying it’s true or earnt it’s about the feeling. If you know you know. Good for the first eye opener coffee; I’m not a big bakery goods consumer but they seemed wide in variety and popular...
