Well, that was a great experience at LuLu last night. My last night in Oslo and I wanted to treat myself to something different - and I got it. No menu! You don't choose your food, but instead get invited to a 10 course dinner of various foods , selected by the chef. The dishes are small of course and vary from sashimi to beef. (See photos). So much going on with each dish, very refined and very tasty. They serve you very nice accompanying wine as well.

It's a small establishment and very laid back. Loved the environment and choice of music, which reminded me more of a bar than a restaurant. In fact it was like a cocktail bar, but for food. Right up my street. It's not on the cheap side though, but what is in Oslo.

I was also taken care of very well by the very friendly and attentive staff/waiters. Thanks guys!

I highly recommend you give it a try. Bring company and plenty of time and enjoy a laid back evening with good conversation, accompanied throughout with delightful treats for your taste...

I’m visiting from San Francisco and this might be 100% my new favorite restaurant.

The exceptional food, the fun staff and chefs, and a super chill wood bamboo ambient light vibe. Where do I start?

I love the omakase menu. The chefs take care of you: I was impressed by the quality and creativity of food pairings. The smell of rabbit wing coming from the yakitori grill smoke. The combination of flavors and ingredients from Japanese, Norwegian, French, and Latin American cuisines. The sweet balanced against tart; the soft creamy balanced with crunch; delightful color contrasts; and the deep umami surprises. Wow! The special care they take with sourcing and preparing local ingredients. These guys punch above their weight class (one chef worked at a Michelin star restaurant) and they make delicious food.

The hip hop 90s music adds to the laid back vibe.

I would highly recommend adding this spot to your preferred restaurant list in Oslo. Everything is...

We walked in to Lulu hoping for a lovely date night and got a 5stars culinary experience. The attention to detail is amazing, the silent nods and collaboration between the staff and the chef. The next level service and the unbelievable food! Omakase style serving, we went for the 10 course meal with the option to stop at any given time, we were unable to stop (even though we were thoroughly stuffed) afraid to miss out on yet another fabulous dish. Even though each dish seemed to surpass the previous one, the star of the night was the steamed salmon in a root vegetable and ginger foam. The best is that you get this in the most unassuming of locations. As my husband put it: if I had to only eat one thing for the rest of my life; this would definitely be it! Truly,...
