Unfortunately the food was just average. As The menu mainly consisted of sandwiches, fried stuff and dips on the side. The waiting time was quite long, taking about 30-45 minutes for the food to arrive.
While the design of the restaurant was unique, with a New York bodega store vibe that heavily influenced by American culture, but the food did not match up to the hype.
Sandwiches 🥪 For sandwiches we got the chicken parm sandwich and the laab mih tender sandwich. The chicken parm was good, with fried chicken topped with melted mozzarella and tomato sauce, stuffed in a bun with some fresh basil. The laab mih tender was an Asian fusion cheese steak with minced meat and cheese. We would recommend the chicken parm as lasb mih tender was just messy and tasted just like what you expect from minced meat and cheese.
Chicken wings 🐔 For wings we had to get both flavor of lemon pepper 🍋 and kimchi. Lemon pepper was our favorite and was very basic fried wings with a little lemon flavor. While the kimchi one were not as good and a little dissapointing, tasting overly salted but with a good amount of heat 🔥. But did not taste like kimchi to us.
Halumi 🧀 The pieces of halumi we got was just cold, and tasted alright.
Dips For dips we got spicy mayo, thai bail mayo and pho soup dip. The server even warned us that spicy mayo was very spicy 🔥🔥🔥, but we found it bearable with a good kick. While the thai basil mayo did not taste much of basil flavor, rather just a good mayo dip. As for the pho soup dip it was really good for dipping the sandwiches in as it had a strong...
Read moreI wanted this place to be more greasy and more filling.
The menu is fun and creative, and I like that they do sandwiches with filling from different parts of the world. I went for the Thai Laab style, but it arrived cold and lacked in flavour. Definitely a sandwhich which would have suited being warmed up. It mostly tasted like minced meat on bread. I missed a thick layer of sauce, any hint of the Thai mayo and a certain level of spice from the Laab mix. When opting for deli sandwiches, I want them to be big, juicy and dripping of dressing.
Bread a bit dry and it would have enjoyed some searing in a hot, buttery pan.
Place itself it cool and nicely decorated, suitable for a hangout place...
Read moreDid not expect much and was still underwhelmed. The food is just thrown in the deep fryer for an exorbitant amount of time so that it comes out greasy and tasteless. The Haloumi, their vegan side, is a deep fried, cursed joke of a dish. Finished a single piece and simply couldn't eat more. The tiny chicken wings are also so overly fried that you can't actually taste the meat on them. The fries, oh man the fries. They honestly taste like a deep fry experiment. As for the ambience, there are several gaming console stations around, and the place simply feels like it's catered to teenagers who don't really care what they...
