Living in London, seeing how Betong’s peers offer warm service whilst going beyond to alter their menus (on the fly) to cater to dietary options — betong is a stark reminder of how far Oslo still has to go. This interaction was the pinnacle of heteronormative conservatism and hoists nothing but red flags.
Update: the conversation happened in Norwegian, there was no language barriers. And I think the restaurants response to my original post proves my point when it comes to narrow mindedness, lack of service/professionalism and lack of adaptability.

The set menu was perfectly built, my company and I had different favorites along the journey, and the wine by the glass selection is a decent variety. Laidback, unpretentious staff, making it a relaxing atmosphere to just focus on the food experience and your company. Recommend pairing the current dessert with the plum sake. That was a great flavor combo!
