5-star dim sum, 3-star main dishes. The Mala Siu Mai was a pleasant surprise, the texture was bouncy and firm; the taste was balanced that the tiny spiciness was not overwhelming and it brought out the other flavors as well. The wagyu beef soup dumplings tasted like handmade from scratch. The broth was thick and flavorful, and the pairs deep fried spring onions neutralized the beefy flavors. The beef in spicy broth was averagely good, nothing special but decent. The prawn and scallop stir fired vegetables was a bit too oily to my taste, and the seasonings didn’t compliment the seafood. For dietary restrictions, it would be nice if the staff were better trained. I explained my nuts allergy throughly yet still got served a Macaron. I had to point out that Macaron is made of almonds and get the dessert revised.

Good interior design and mood, but mediocre food and mediocre service. Definitely overhyped. Their Asian fusion is a hit and miss. The best dish was a traditional har cao dimsum but came with the wrong sauce. Good Peking duck but missed the proper crispy skin and the sauce was way too sweet. The gung bao chicken had the wrong vegetables; string beans, broccoli, squash and lotus flower. Cashew instead of peanuts. Stir fried spicy lamb was not bad. Tender lamb meat but unexciting taste overall. Their fusion fried dimsum was dry and needed more dipping sauce. Their wardrobe cabinet was full, so we had to take coats off at the table, which was fine. But the waiter rushed us and told us to immediately sit down as we were taking coats off. Wont come back unfortunately.

Similar kind of Chinese Szechuan food with Dinner Restaurant in Oslo. They have similar menu and dishes, similar atmosphere, table settings, and also cutleries. We had a dinner here on the weekend. It was full house but we managed to get a table. We ordered Hak Chiu Thai Ra Ha (Classic Wok with Scampi and Seasonal Vegetables), Szechuan Lohan Pot (Seasonal Vegetables Stir Fried in Cantonese Style), Kylling Gongbao (Kungpao Chicken), Kam Kon Pot (Scampi, Lamb, Chicken and Beef in a Garlic and Chili Pepper Sauce), and Vårruller (Three different taste experience of Spring Roll). Food was very delicious and tasty. Ingredients were fresh, meat were tender, and portion was sufficient. Service was good, atmosphere is nice and cozy. Recommended Chinese food restaurant in Oslo.

The service is painfully slow. Took them ages to find my reservation, and then we had to wait forever for the elevator that is super slow for some reason... when we finally got our table it was in the rooftop lounge section, which was what we booked, but also the sofa we got was used as a makeshift wardrobe for the table next to us. Then another painfully long wait for the waiter, she got us some very overprized drinks, ok the place and location suggests you have to expect that, but then the drink was swiftly removed from my table before I could finish it. When we finally got the menu for the food we got a very good explanation about the concept of the restaurant. The waiter again disappeared. When we decided for food, we then had to ask again for the wine menu, making the wait even longer. The food itself was served swiftly and was very tasty and of good quality. The toilet visit revealed a badly maintained toilet section, some wiring in the roof was visible, none of the locks on the doors of the mens room was working, and the sinks were not particularly easy to use. These are all minor details, but the point of this type of place, is that you don't mind spending the extra money, because in the end of the night, you have not only had some nice food, but also a nice experience, and for us, this place just didn't offer that nice experience to make it worth it. For a place that promotes itself as an exclusive, fine dining restaurant, and at that price, I...

I’ve been here several times and it was amazing but the last visit was different. It’s disappointing. I’m with my son and husband. When I asked the waitress if they have menu for kids, she just answered no, but not even recommend anything, so I need to dig in to the menu to find one for my son, I found in extra, fried rice or noodles. Perfect! when I asked nicely to take a photo of us family with the beautiful dessert. she answered no, or not now because she is busy. I felt a bit embarrassed, so I answered when she got time. She came back 15min later, I said its fine, we finished it already. It’s with ice cream, so we have to eat it before it will melt. I mean, it will only take seconds to take a picture. The food wasn’t that great either for a price. It felt so different this time and it’s sad. The atmosphere, the happy servers were gone. There is no compassion, the servers even hardly smile. I work in the same industry so I know how it is, everytime I’m out eating I am extra nice to waitresses. I know the pressure. Sometimes no matter how good the food is if the service is not there, it ended up not a good experience. This was...

Six years ago, we had dinner at Dinner in the city center (National Theater). It was a very nice experience. Recently we had dinner at Dinner Barcode. It was Sunday night and fortunately we had booked a table. It is a pretty large restaurant with tasteful decoration. We indulged with the DimSum set menu which is a special on Sunday night. This was a very good choice. The quality is between excellent and good. Most are very good. The one they are rated good were a bit to greasy or salty. Overall it was a solid very good experience. The ambiance is very good and the service is good. Waiters are very busy (stretched I would say) hence the service is only good. However, we will return to Dinner. NB: I am a bit knowledgeable about Asian cuisines, as I lived several years in China and Malaysia. Furthermore my wife is Chinese hence I am very familiar with Asian cuisines, especially Chinese cuisines. Dinner (restaurants)are mostly of a Hong Kong style cuisine. Which means that it is generally not spicy (or very little compared to Sichuan, Yunnan or Xinjiang Chinese cuisines) hence it pleases...
