Food ok to good, we were very very hungry so I kinda think that skewed our perception a little towards being more positive. It was tasty albeit felt a little too greasy. Maybe people like that as this place came highly recommended for taste. I would be willing to try again in a few months. Not much to say about the service as there is almost none, we went to the till to order and then we waited at the table until it was ready, we got up and got our order ourselves. It took a while to make a roll and a baked sandwich though, kinda weird. The problem is the place itself, it felt and looked very dirty and dingy not somewhere I would like to sit. If it wasn't so cold out with roads full with snow and ice I would have never sat in there. The music too, so loud, and very weird arabic tunes. Read moreI had a layover at Oslo and decided I was in the mood for shawarma. I went here because I seen the great reviews. And they totally held up to it. The service was fantastic. So friendly. They even gave me and my girlfriend free samples of the shawarma meat. The gentleman behind the counter were incredible. And the shawarma was so delicious I was sad when it was all gone. I recommend anyone come visit this location. Look forward to visiting...

Min samboer, jeg og vår 7 år gamle sønn besøkte sjappen med forventning om en rask og uproblematisk takeaway middag. Dessverre ble besøket alt annet enn det.
Etter 15–20 minutter fikk 3 personer som bestilte etter oss maten sin. Tenkte at de var stamkunder og ble prioritert, men da 4 nye gjester ankom og 3 av dem fikk maten innen 10–15 minutter, begynte vi å ane noe som skurrer. Jeg satt rett ved kassen og kjøkkenet og observerte hvor rask og effektiv produksjonslinjen var, noe som gjorde det usannsynlig at vår bestilling bare var blitt glemt.
Da jeg spurte han bak kassen etter vår bestilling, ble jeg fortalt at det ville ta omtrent 5 minutter. Dette strakk seg imidlertid til 10+ minutter, og det virket som om maten vår først ble påbegynt da de oppdaget at jeg fulgte med på kjøkkenet. Det føltes som en klar nedprioritering, ikke bare en tilfeldig feil. Som en person med innvandrerbakgrunn og mange års erfaring i matbransjen, var dette en trist og delvis skamfull opplevelse. At en takeaway sjappe midt i Oslos multikulturelle knutepunkt praktiserer det jeg opplevde som forskjellsbehandling, er dypt skuffende.
Kanskje en Wolt / Foodora-bestilling, som tar 20-30% av salgsverdien, ville gitt mer rettferdig behandling? Er maten virkelig så god at man kan se bort i fra en...
