Palace Grill anbefales på det sterkeste! Soleklart 5 stjerner!

Fantastic! The most delicious gourmet experience we’ve had in Oslo in a while! All six of us agree that the flavours and overall experience throughout the evening impressed us even more than our visit to Maaemo, for instance, earlier this year.

Super tiny restaurant with cosy atmosphere and excellent service! Laidback and informal! Perfect for us! Creative, exciting dishes packed full with flavours! Every dish was delightful and we kept wanting more, especially the creamy pasta with morels, porcini mushrooms, truffles and loads of parmiggiano was our favourite! Can’t remember ever having a pasta dish this good even in Italy after so many trips. All seafood and meat dishes were amazing and cooked to perfection. Wine paring was great too!

Feels like this place has been here forever, but it doesn’t even have a star!? So visit before it gets one and prices go up! Keep in mind that their tasting menu changes rapidly depending on produce available like in many small gourmet restaurants. So sad we probably won’t get that pasta...

One of the best restaurants in Oslo! The food was great and the wine pairings superb. But be warned: You'll get pretty tipsy and maybe even drunk, as they, shall we say, is quite liberal with the amount of wine they pour into your glass 😅 They also refill your glass quite often. And with one glass per dish (there's around ten, not counting the appetisers) - you get the idea 🤣

Most of the courses struck a perfect balance between salt, sweet and sour, the ingredients were great and the presentation was excellent. The highlights were the first five, six dishes which centered around fish and seafood, with one tender wagyu beef thrown in the mix. One of the many highlights was the smoked trout, which was accompanied by a perfect mix of greens. Such a wonderful balance 🙏

If I had to nitpick on anything, it was that one of the main courses, a meat dish, was a bit salty and uninspired, still delicious, but not compared to the first half of the meal.

All in all a perfect evening with my girlfriend.

Highly...

My fiance and I had an excellent time at Palace Grill. We got the normal menu without wine pairing except for 2 glasses of champagne. They are very generous with the alcohol here, so I could not imagine drinking 10 glasses alongside the 10 course menu, but it did look very tempting!

The food was excellent and I was happy we got to try some local Norwegian fish. The dishes are well thought-out and it’s clear that the chefs here are talented. Each course was very different from the other. The service is also very friendly and took their time to explain each dish to us everytime something came out. While expensive at around 2350kr per person and around 300kr per glass of wine, it definitely warrants a visit at least once when in Oslo. Treat yourself to some...

What a place! Go if you can get a reservation. Awesome flavor combinations just keep coming. Really fun and knowledgable staff. Food outshines location but isn't that the way it should be. Daring chefs always experimenting. If you add the great wines better be prepared for Norway Sovereign wealth fund size bill!! But well worth every penny!! Just go!!!
