I stumbled upon Politikern during a day in Oslo, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s stylish without being pretentious, with just the right balance of cozy and modern. You feel like you’re somewhere special, but still completely at ease.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great experience. And the food? Absolutely spot-on. I had lunch and a coffee – both were perfect. Fresh ingredients, great flavors, and beautifully presented. The coffee in particular deserves a shout-out – smooth, rich, and made with care.

They said my group had stolen a beer and refused to give us the beer we had paid for. We showed the receipts and they counted the beers on the table, but they claimed we had drank the beer quickly in order to hide that we had stolen it.
