Svolvær Restaurant — Restaurant in Vågan

The food here was exceptionally good. All prepared fresh and piping hot.

I had fish and potato and my partner grilled chicken and veg. I know that sounds a bit bland but it was ace.

We didn't need to book here and we did get a nice welcome and service.

The vibe was just a bit odd. Even though it was early we needed up being the only people in there. It just felt like they were waiting on us to finish to close the kitchen (at 8pm).

I will 💯 give this place another go on my return.

We went here last week when we visited Svolvær, after another restaurant was already fully booked, and it was such a positive surprise that we directly came back to have dinner at this place again on the next day.

I was eating alone, relatively early when the place was quiet. I was met with an uninterested shrug, and given a table by the toilets. The table wasn't even screwed down properly, and was wobbling all over the place!

I'm used to indifferent service as a single diner, but this was next level! Do they honestly expect people to pay restaurant prices for service like that?
